(Set after This)

He trotted from their shared den, still stepping along the clouds. Gravity and sense seemed to fail him as he moved along the beach, humming their mother's lullaby as he did. The tone was gentle, hardly audiable but he hummed it nonetheless. It had always been a song that was able to calm his energy spikes, but he sang it now more so becuase it reminded him of the previous night. He had used the song in hopes to calm Gaia's sorrow, and he hummed it now to calm his own aching heart. It had only been a few hours since they had parted, and already he missed her so terribly. Her perfume was imprinted within his fur, and he could smell her everywhere.  Her warmth had finally seemed to seep from his skin, and all he felt was cold. But still, onwards he sung, trotting towards the den they had shared last night.

Glacier had already been told, he already discussed his heart ache and passion, and now he didn't know what to do. For the first time in Voltage's life, he was unsure of the future. It was like the image he had once seen was shattered, and the fallen pieces created something he never knew could exist. It was beautiful, it was magnificent, but it still confused him oh so terribly. He missed her, and it was crazy. How could one day, one embrace, one night cause him to feel so scattered and yet so absolutely perfect at the same time.

Oh he missed her.

With a gentle sigh he paused before the storm proofed den he and his sister shared on the nights when the storms got a little too rough, and he wondered what would become of it. What would happen if he brought Gaia into their world, he would spend his nights with her. No longer would he den hop on different nights, cuddling up to a family member of choice. He would spend his nights with Gaia, and his days. He couldn't devote his entire existance to his family anymore, if he brought her into their world, his affections would be split. He heaved a sigh, turning stormy eyes towards he ground as he contemplated all of this. His entire world had changed, had shattered and brought together again, had felt so wrong and so right at the same time.

But oh, did he miss her.

There was no way he could let her go now that he knew of her, that he felt her embrace and her warmth. This would have happened sooner or later, he assumed, but oh...he wasn't sure what he was to do. Voltage felt so different from what he had known before. With another sigh he ended his song, shaking his head and moving towards the outlier den once more, to see if her scent lingered still.
