Her recent encounter with Baldur, a wolf who'd once stood beside her when she'd ruled Ebony, a wolf who she had strongly considered for her Jarl in fact, so soon after she'd gone restlessly wandering in search of guidance from the gods was both intriguing and to some extent expected. Of course the gods were just as capable of answering now as they'd always been but they had been so silent since she lost Yfir that it was interesting that they'd choose to send her Baldur. Why? What was she meant to do?

Clearly, though, it had been her effort to work her way back into the world as a warrior that had brought the gods' attention to her. Rather than return immediately to her cousin and the young Olympus wolf, she continued past the central lands they inhabited, going from the far south to the far north to continue the rigorous retraining she was applying herself to. She found herself at the site of the strange metal object - the ship, as she'd heard tell long ago that the beasts called humans had once created - she'd once encountered her aunt and cousins at, but they were nowhere to be seen - not unexpected. Even a god's miracle could not bring them back from where ever they'd gone, and she would not want them. They may be family, but they had abandoned the pack they'd been appointed to, the responsibilities and lives that depended on them, and their family, to run away. It was clear where Jaeger had gotten his sense of loyalty from...

She seated herself at the prow of the ship to stare over the icy lands. These were as the lands of her ancestors, lands that she would someday return to terrorize as the Finnvi had always done. The soft southern lands were... tolerable, in that there were weak wolves and packs that were ripe for capture and raiding and trade, but these, these were the lands she thrived in. The cold, the barren grace of the icy land, strengthened and hardened her. Yes, these lands would come to fear the Finnvi name once again.
