Voltage would watch her meltdown, as if it were all in slow motion. Like a plane crash, or a train collision that he couldn't stop. All he could do was stand there, take in each and every word, emotion and thought that she bellowed before his face. And for a moment he believed each of them. Heart ached in its bony imprison as he stared at her, lungs tightened to the point that it burned to breathe. Had he truley forgotten her? Had he allowed Gaia to take his every thought that he had become unaware of her presence? No, no, okay...maybe? But Voltage had been known to be distracted before and she hadn't said a word. Was it only because he bore the perfume of another female, someone that stood outside of their family lines? He would listen to every word, his ears pulled back and pressed against his skill. He had changed....had he? Sure, he wasn't so much the senseless child he had once been. The responsibility of his siblings had matured him, but he hadn't changed that much. Voltage would always be Voltage.

With a whimper he would step towards her again, knowing that she would just pull or step away again. Pain would lace his viens and he would jerk each time she pulled away, as if he were scorched by her flame. But he couldn't say anything, not yet. Perhaps it was because he was too stunned by her emotion on this, as if it's something that had been on her mind for a long time. And he thought, what would he do if she found herself a someone....if she found her destiny in a wolf he didn't know, and she floated on clouds that he couldn't reach? And in that moment he felt a fraction of her pain (for surely a thought would hurt less)

With agentle sigh he shook his head, parting his jaws to argue and agree and try to calm her flames. But then she said those words that had stormy eyes snapping open wide and tears springing up to burn them. With agony he'd reach out to her again, watching as she turned to walk away from him. And, as always, anger flared to cover his pain. With a growl he leap forward, moving to jump ahead of her.

"Serefina!" He barked, power in his voice as he stared at her with hard but painfilled eyes. "You've spoken and I listened. Give me the chance to say my piece. You must respect and love me enough to allow me that, right?" His voice would soften as he stepped forward again, but he wouldn't reach for her. He hurt too much, stinging from her outburst, to allow for that.

"I apologize...that I hadn't noticed you there. Your scent is always there for me, sometimes I miss when it's fresh. But please, believe me, from the moment my eyes open in the morning, to the time they close, I look for you. I will always look for you. Nothing will come between us." He would smile, weakly, before his frown returned to his lips. He still stood tall, but he seemed...deflated. "Her name is Gaia. I met her only yesterday, and she is blind and broken hearted. I brought her home to spend the night because it was too late to let her go home alone...I am seeing her again, but she has family in her pack. I wont be asking her to come here. Even when I was with her, I thought of you all. I couldn't spend a night away from home, because I couldn't bare a night away. I spoke so much of you all, because you are my everything." He looked at the ground then. How could he feel like floating and sinking, all at once?

"Fire is your element, Serefina. You depend on the heat to survive comfortably. Locha the sea, Astrea the stars....but for me, it is not the lightning I was named for." He lifted his eyes to her then. "I depend on your energy, your warmth, your love. I cannot bare to see another day if it is not there. Nothing will come between us, I will never forget you and I will never ignore you. Because you are my life. You and all our siblings. Even if our family expands, you will still be my everything." With a hard, and yet still gentle gaze, he would forever look at her tearful face, his brows knitted. "Please, Serefina, believe me. I've already lost too much time without you that I couldn't control, there is no way I would allow something I can to lose me any more."
