Despite his general disinterest and aversion to politics, Rune felt his impromptu meeting with the Alpha of Threar was going rather well and felt more or less relieved by the meeting. He had grown to believe many of the leaders incompetent and self-serving rather than serving those under their care, but here seemed to be another group that placed value on their members and looked to them like family. Of course, the competence of Frith had yet to be tested, but Rune was also not one to go out of his way to test the leaders around him. As he saw it, the world would work that out on its own; his only concern was to his own pack and none other.
Thankfully for his future plans, the chocolate colored leader agreed to eventual future meeting and offered a more precise location for his pack of Threar. The grey Guardian logged away the information that he had gathered in their meeting, this Threar pack, it's location, the names of its neighbors in the east, and what he had been able to gather about their leader. He nodded sternly but appreciatively for what Frith had been willing to tell him, and found himself even looking forward to that eventual visit he would be paying this pack in the future.
"As will I," he admitted a little more willingly than he perhaps had otherwise been participating in their conversation. "I hope to set off on these trips fairly soon, so perhaps within the next season or so you can expect me." It was a bit of a stretch since he was still stuck in that protective parent role that came with having newborns in the den, but he knew eventually he was going to have to trust the pack to look after those new lives in order to keep working toward bettering Secretua as a whole. And hopefully those family members immediately effected by any absence that he took would understand and not hold it against him.
