Irelyn's paws had led her to an expanse which seemed to have drawn glimpses of stardust itself into the earth – at least that was what the gold and sand she-wolf thought of when she spied the first scrap of metal. The odd remnants of humankind winked at her on occasion, trying to disarm her, but Ire only paused to lower her nose to within a few inches of the treasure before moving on, her eyes on the distant mountains. A scent made the loner lift her head, leafy eyes refocusing on a lone figure. A light furrow in her brow indicated that Irelyn was, at first, unsure of what the gargantuan figure was doing burrowing at the ground; she hovered within plain sight, ears twitching faintly as she tried to discern whether she was about to interrupt someone in search of a meal. A brief but telling twinkle calmed the rogue's fears and she padded forward, head held level with her shoulders and tail tip flicking from side to side behind her rust-stockinged hocks. As usual, she was politely inquisitive about what yet another strange wolf of this land was up to, but now with a healthy respect for the sheer size of him. |
