Delightfully Dirty

On their last date Rhythm had admitted that she'd never really gotten dirty before. In any context that was unacceptable, and for that reason Valentine had drug a groggy Rhythm from her den and hauled her to the swamp. The day was still young, the sun was just rising, and mudding was on the agenda. At the end of the day they'd go home absolutely filthy.

"Alrighty, here we are," he boomed playfully, "Take a deep breath; breathe in that delightfully fetid, swampy air." They stood on the edge looking in; before them rose up a thick tangle of marsh grass, the long strands hiding a thick soup of smelly mud, bugs and slithering creatures. Valen's lips lifted in a teasing smile, "You're not scared of snakes, are you?" The corners of his lips rose higher. "Or alligators?" He was just teasing, of course. The alligators and snakes were the least of their worries here.
