"You do to me so well."

Separation from a pride was the worst feeling in the world. His young would now die, and his females would simply be scraps to the new king. Though, Hyder would throw no fit over it, it was his choice to leave after all. Perhaps the strong young would survive, and as tough as a lion's life was that was just how it was. The magnificent beast had been at the top of his prime, he still was, but as simple does he was just that. The huge lion simply wanted to create a new line, he was built to be a pride leader. His gene's and his gene's alone were the most important, other creatures really didn't hold his interest and yet all he had smelt upon arriving in this place was dogs.

They weren't quiet dogs no, they were bigger obviously, however Hyder still towered over most of them. Any other big cats that were here he had no knowledge of, even then never had he seen a wolf in his life time. The small huffing of the lion echoed through the cave's, big powerful paws dragging his body slinking through the tunnels. Only the dim moonlight guiding him through holes in the roof of the stone structure that held these things together. Pure pink eyes glared across the place, apathetic and almost untouchable the monster seemed like an angel. Though he could just as easily become a nightmare.

The fluff at the end of his tail came to flick over his side. Shaking his pure mane free of any dirt, licking his paw to groom the full head of fur anyhow. Such a natural occurrence for the male, and yet here he was with almost no idea what he was doing. Although, first priority was survival, a lion his size could take down a deer all on his own which was not uncommon for him to do anyhow. As he finally situated himself at the end of a smooth cavern, the beast would flop down happily. Letting out a short purr more like an irritated growl as his paws rested upon the smooth rock surface. Sticking out his claws, he scratched at it, until the rock face was irritated and rough. No longer smooth he settled his pink paw pads upon them and stared at the moon.
