Still the russet man pushed onwards, no destination in sight and only his willpower to carry him forwards. A familiar scent reached him, carried by the cool autumn wind and his pace picked up, eyes growing wide and flicking back and forth as he searched for the source of the scent. He had wanted to stop her leaving, had wanted to make her understand she didn’t feel needed but dammit if he didn’t need her!

Finally he spotted her, head tilted back and he fought the urge to gaze up too. “Hani…” His voice was strong, a hint of the man he had once been lingering in the threads of his tone. He continued towards the woman, she had once been so scared of him, and he had no idea how she’d react to him being here so he kept his posture neutral.
