She didn't wear her heart on her sleeve, or really show any kind of emotion to begin with. All those things were locked up inside of her without the consent to come out. No one needed to know how she felt. It was none of their business. They didn't need to know that even though she put up a fa?ade of being dependable and strong, only caring about everyone else, inside she wished there was someone who really gave a damn about her. But she wasn't about to tell anyone that. How could she believe someone cared when she'd been shown the exact opposite as a child? There was no use harboring false hope; it wouldn't do her any good.

This was another side her of her that only some would be able to see, only if they weren't injured of course. And this brute here was a getting a first hand view of it. Despite his closeness, Alessa gave no indication that his presence affected her in way. It honestly didn't. He wasn't giving her any signs that he was about to attack her or anything of the sort so she had no reason to stir. After her counter she spoke nothing, simply watching the strange chocolate and gold pelted man before her waiting for some kind of response. He finally relented, using that foreign tongue of his again, calling her whatever it was that he was calling. She would've asked him to speak English, but that probably would've made him want to use his language more and she would've gotten nowhere. So she settled for answering what she could understand.

His pale eyes roamed over her face, examining her as he complained about her not answering his question. I didn't know I had to be nice to strangers. she answered smoothly, a barely there chill hinted in her voice. If he thought he was going to be able to get anything out of her, then he was so poorly mistaken.
