There wasn't much of an answer in her little musings, but with one word he could easily quiet her. Was it the kind of story that she should offer her shoulder in comfort like when they'd spoken of their lost loved ones? He seemed distant, "I'll listen." She'd offer softly, he wanted her to hear this. The corners of her lips turned up softly in encouragement, he could trust her with this story.
