Tripping Over You
Regulus Anatolii Adravendi |
As the angry expression melted from her face, Regulus gave Ganja a sheepish grin as she remarked on his choice of words. “Mother taught me never to argue with an angry female. And I was in the wrong. I wasn’t really watching where I was stepping, and I should be; you’re the second wolf I’ve stepped on or nearly stepped on here.” He’d almost stepped on Lucks head, in fact. He didn’t think that would have gone well. Cinder smirked slightly at Ganjas remark on her lack of observation. ”I saw you, I just thought the big red oaf would have seen you too.” Her whiskers twitched with amusement.
Regulus looked Ganja over again, this time to see if she had gotten any bigger since they’d met. It didn’t look like it. She was still tiny, and still bright, neon green, nose and pads included. Was her tongue green too? He didn’t think he’d noticed. ”I’m here with my mother and sister Zuriel. Is your Aunt Rainbow here too?” He looked around, wondering just what the mysterious Aunt Rainbow even looked like. Meanwhile, Cinder circled around, peering at the cuts on his belly, which had begun to scab over by then. Zuriel is going to have your hide for these.” Regulus blinked and looked at his feline friend. ”You think I’m not aware of the hiding she’ll give me?”
The cat smirked at him as he turned back to Ganja. ”I just got out of a spar. I actually won.” The way he said it, it was clear that he had been expecting the opposite outcome.
