She had always loved Kyarst, since they were mere children, but suddenly she had realized that she loved him as much more than a brother and a friend. It was a difficult thing to process. Not because he was family - her father had never had qualms with having such relations within his own family, something that hadn't exactly been a secret to anyone that knew him well - but because she'd never felt this way before about anyone. She nearly flinched as he moved to lay at her back, though she relaxed into his touch, unable to help but be soothed by his familiar scent and voice.
After a moment of thought, as she mused over his words, she'd crack a small smile. "Good," she'd say with finality, content ton hear his words, though she wouldn't admit that she'd felt a small bit of doubt creep into her heart when she realized he'd been with other women before. The playful, slightly cocky comment she'd made was her way to lighten the mood, knowing that neither of them wanted to sit and sulk.. or worse, get into a fight, which is what she felt would happen if she pressed the topic further. Instead, she would exhale and let her mind drift as she leaned into him, her head falling back. The smile would remain as she lapped at the side of his mouth. "I love you, Kyarst," she'd tell him gently. They could figure the rest of it out together, but she was positive of this one thing.
