Even now in such a dire situation his mind couldn't help but wander back to his late wife, a beautiful ebony beast that stole his heart the moment he saw her, but now was no time for sentimentality. The silver wolf looked her over and spoke softly yet again "Lost?" He inquired, choking on the word midway through. He could feel her eyes searching over him, examining his injuries and scars, but...Not with horror, with what seemed to be misplaced adoration, the same way females fawned over the battle scars of warriors, she seemed to fawn over his, not that they spoke of any great battles. Just sheer dumb luck. A shy, almost bashful expression crossed his features at the thought. Could she have mistaken him for a warrior? Perish the thought...But....Could she? He dared not ask, he dared not assault her lovely ears with the horrid din of his voice, not unless he needed to. |
