Sweet Sacrifice

The loving looks and smiles she received from shai warmed her from her toes to her ears as she basked in the love. His reply for the day made her chuckle softly and she bumped her nose against his "silly man" she teased happily. She might have even debated his words for a moment with a wicked smile on her lips, but she had other plans for their day. She drew a way a little and looked out at the surrounding lands, at the trees they had moved to and some unknown point in their busy night and the rock shai had chosen for them to stargaze upon. If this was what she thought it was, she wanted to share the news with shaye, she wanted to share it with bass and maybe even rhythm. She looked shai in his sunny, fantastic eyes and whispered "I love you" and wondered, hoped, that everything said last night had been the truth, not a dream not spur of the moment, but words that would change their lives.
