Like Shattered Glass

It was a simple enough request to guide him. Felicitas felt a bit ashamed that she hadn't thought that he'd have vision problems as well, what with how he was blind in one eye. In fact, she hadn't been giving any of his marks much thought. Oh, she'd acknowledged them, to be sure, but she saw them as bits and pieces of who he was, not deformities. Nonetheless, she kept pace with him, her shorter legs working to keep stride with his far longer three.

A silence overcame them after that, something all to common within the Soulless Forest and it's lack of noise polution. Normally she would have no problem letting a conversation die; some creatures simply weren't eager to reciprocate her attempts at chatter. But something compelled her to once more break the silence, even if it meant taking up the majority of what was being said. "So, might I ask what brought you to the forest?"
