He was really caught off guard by her accusation, he knew very well that he wasn't the only wolf she had been with. He had cared about that for a whole of two seconds before he let it go. He wanted her to be free to do whatever she wanted because he knew that she needed him because he needed her. Esti would do as he asked, she would wait patiently as Mercy continued to ignore her. "What, and you think I'm just going to run off with Esti and never see you again?" She wasn't thinking straight, after she calmed down surely she would see the double standard she was trying to set. "Do you really think I don't care about you anymore because I'm having a good time with Esti? Do you really doubt my love that much?" She was playing the victim, but he was only doing what she had done before. She had no right to be as upset with him as she was. Mercy would move to attack him, and he'd brace himself to feel her jaws sink into him, but she'd stop. He could see the tears in her eyes as she declared "Now I know exactly how Mom felt." Then she would turn and stomp back to the den. "So you can go and have sex whenever you want, but I'm not allowed to? Yeah sounds like we both know how mom felt." He was pretty angry by now too, he couldn't believe Mercy's double standards. If she could go out and have fun, surely he could be trusted to do the same. He was half tempted to grab her tail and drag her back out of the den, they weren't done yet. However, he was still very much distracted by the organ at his stomach and Esti was waiting for him.
