The quick way might have been quicker but there was also more potential for danger, he could more easily tear open his wound again if she just let him hop up on the boulder. He would be better in the long run if they got him up there slowly, and definitely with her help. She watched as he did what she asked, first putting his front paw on top of the boulder before telling her that he was going to need some help. She was surprised he even said anything, she was already pretty invested in his healing she wasn't about to just stop helping him now that it was slightly different kind of help. Rhythm would move into position as he did, she'd position herself at the back of his left leg, ready to push and add her momentum to his hind end. Hopefully preventing him from putting as much strain on his stomach. As he counted down she readied herself, and after making brief eye contact with him on two she'd shove her shoulder up, hopefully aiding him in reaching the apex of the boulder.
