The male had traveled alot lately, wanting to know more about the lands he was still fairly new to, and to find a place that he might think was perfect. But still, he had not found it. So he'd take to the sea, he was a tundra wolf after all, and his home had always been near the sea and ice. Though the North was different here then it was back home, he'd take to an island. Wanting to find the isolation that only an island could bring, to get more of that "homey" feel.

Wine tipped paws brought him to the water, the male allowing the cold sea to rise upon his body until he could strike out with his paws, and his swim would begin. The sea didn't seem to be as rough here as it was back home, perhaps because there were icebergs and glaciers all around that kept the water flowing. He wondered too, what dangers might lurk beneath the surface...hidden, and waiting to strike. Orca's were common where he was from, and he had seen many a wolf and creature being toyed with when they were unfortunate enough to try and cross the water to another spot of drifting ice...a killer whale lurking until they were far enough from shore to be battered and tossed around like a piece of fresh-kill, before being torn apart and swallowed. The visions that crossed his mind were frightening, but he would not allow those thoughts to shake him, if he did, then he might falter and panic and the ocean was no place to panic at all.

The sun beat down on his head, eyes squinting as he strove to keep the water out. His mouth was clamped shut, the salty tang of the sea non too pleasant, and he breathed steadily through his nose. It was a distant swim, but not nearly as far as others had to swim before. He kept steady, pacing himself so he wouldn't tire so quickly. And what seemed to be about an hour or so, Zell could feel the grit as the land loomed above him. Claws scraped against rock and sand as he pulled himself ashore, nearby, a startled stingray flew by a few feet on his left. He watched it curiously before turning back to his task of getting out of the water.

Once he was out, he shook himself vigorously to rid himself of most of the water. Although it was Winter, the water hadn't bothered him as much as it did in the Arctic. He looked around, nostrils flaring to breathe in the new scents that surrounded him. Ocean, gulls, earth, and various plant life he had not seen before. With a curved smile, he strode forward, heading straight to where the trees towered above everything else. The male's undying curiosity driving him to explore the unknown, just as he had done with his family. Turning back, he could see other islands off in the distance, wondering which one he had initially come from. But those were not memories he wanted to remember...it was a terrible day of loss. So he turned away, and pushed on.

After a few moments, he came to stare at the trees that towered up to the sky. Colorful plants and fruits and flowers blooming all around him, despite the season, it didn't seem to affect this place that much. The air made his fur prickled, the humidity was different then what he was used to. As he was focused on the sights and smells around him, the large brute didn't realize he had nearly stumbled over a body on the ground. Nearly startled himself, he stared at the creature for a moment. So much for alone time... He thought. Then again, what was this guy doing lying in the middle of a disgustingly humid jungle? Maybe..."Hey! Are you dead?"
