Scaramouche, Scaramouche, will you do the Fandango?

What sounded like a possible approach stilled her. The giantess pivoted slowly, her ears swiveling and straining as she sought to pinpoint the source of the noise. Nostrils flaring, Sabine drew in silent huffs as she tried to scent what or who was behind her. With the way the tunnels wove through one another she couldn't tell if she was being followed or if the steps were moving away. It was impossible to tell the nature of the one behind her, and for this reason Sabine could go no further. If she was being pursued she wanted to face her pursuer. If, by chance, they were going the other way, she'd know that soon enough and be able to continue on with her journey. Any second now she'd have her answer, she just needed to quiet. So she waited in silence. |
