Astrea was so absorbed in watching her new friend zoom about the field, the predawn light creating the most beautiful sunrise. She was humming her eyes drifting closed as a gentle breeze ruffled her fur. Zori swooped bye her again, but this time chirping a warning a split second before a deep and playful timber came from behind her. She smiled then, shaking her head at her companion before Zori could descend upon her brother. Without even turning her head Astrea hummed and watched Zori give the energy brother the stink eye and then fly off after another insect in her hunting. She laughed at her brother, never turning her head from the view of the blinking and fading stars. "Hes off sleeping, but do not worry brother; Zori was protecting me."
She smiled as the little bird circled around then and landed on her head, the bird tweeted to volt and settled herself between Astrea's ears. It was then that the star child looked over at her brother. She wondered what he was doing here, wasn't he supposed to be getting ready for his trip or something? She smiled then, it seemed that Volt, no matter how busy he was, always had time for her. She turned back to the sunrise as her companion's little body relaxed as the nighthawk fell into a light sleep.
"Do you think you will find more siblings?" She should know if there was a younger litter, but for the life of her could not remember. In the later months on the island was spent on the highest point, close to the stars. She hardly ever went back to the dens and saw her mother even less. "Do you think that they would kick them out like they kicked us out?"
A small hope bloomed in her chest as she thought more on the situation of the family. "Volt, maybe what ever had our parents kick us out has passed and they where looking for us, what if they wanted us back?" She got up then and turned to her brother, she made sure to not disturbed Zori in doing so. "Maybe I should go with you after all, its not like I am doing much good here; maybe I would be of more help at our parents island!" Even the thought of Seerten could not hold this intense desire to make the trip with Volt. But then again, the fear that her hopes where in vain where something else entirely. She did fear that her hopes that maybe what Voltage and Glacier was right, maybe their parents really didn't love them, maybe they despised the life they brought into the world. But then why did they raise them? Why did they not kill them or abandon them when they where newborns? Nothing about the siblings upbringing made since. She wanted answers, almost needed them like her next breath. "What if they finally realized that they made a mistake in chasing us out, Volt."
