She could hear him sigh and the girl rolled her eyes, glad in her choice to turn away from him for the time being. It seemed for a moment that he was going to try and slip away, a single ear perked and swivelling back slightly as she listened for any signs of a retreat. If he did she’d just have to chase him down.
Then she spoke and she rolled her eyes again, finally craning her neck to look at him again. "Would you stop your brooding and get over here?" There was a slight edge to her voice but she kept her voice mostly playful. "What? You afraid I’m gonna bite you thunder butt?"
