Thankful that she wasn't limping, or that anything worse had happened other than just a slip and some bruises, she looked around sheepishly as though hoping no one was there to see her. She sighed happily, only to be surprised by a voice calling out in the darkness. The voice bounced off the walls, making it hard for her to pinpoint where the individual was. "Uh, eh, yeah, yeah I'm fine!" It took her a moment to find her words, it was quite uncomfortable to be calling out in the darkness to some voice. It felt as though she was talking to some imaginary friend.
"A bat startled me is all." She said in a lower tone, not really caring if the voice would hear her explanation or not. It just made her feel better about it, lying to herself to make her seem less pathetic - especially since someone else was here in the darkness with her. She tried sniffing through the air for a scent, but she received nothing. The air was too stagnant, no breeze was coming her way in order for her to pick out a scent. It was faint, she could smell they were around and real, but their location was tough... It was times like these that made her wish she was a better hunter and knew how to use her nose better than this.
"Are you okay?" She said in a slow, hesitant and awkward tone. There was no reason for her to ask it, she was the one who made a noise. But it was awkward, she felt the need to call out, reach out and offer assistance somehow. Even if it didn't make all that much sense.
"speech!!"
