The moment he saw his brother he would run faster, his paws digging into the sand as he moved. He didn't have the stamina for this, his lungs hurt with each ragged breath and yet his energy would quickly refill again, allowing him random bursts of speed when he needed it. This was one of those times, and he'd bolt towards his brother like the element he was named for. The moment he was folded into his brother's warmth he just broke down, sobbing into his fur as all the emotion he had been holding since the moment he had seen...them. Pain pulsated through him as he heard Glacier's voice, a voice he had needed in the past few days. But when he felt Glacier begin to pull them in the direction they came he quickly shook his head. "T-They're coming." He said with a gasp, trying to catch his breath before he could explain.

He opened his mouth but instead he merely sobbed, wrapping a leg around his brother and holding him close. "G-glace." He whimpered, looking up at him with reddened, teary yellow eyes. "Our p-parents, Glace. They're gone!" He said in a choked voice, staring up at him. His jaw clenched to try and keep the sobs in. He needed to explain, he needed Glacier to ground him. He needed...to feel alright again. "D-dead, Glace...our parents..." He whimpered in a quiet voice, closing his eyes tightly. For a long time Voltage had hated his parents, had hated everything they had done to him and his siblings. He had felt nothing but anger and loss and a desperation for answers. Answers he'd never recieve now. And even if he did hate his parents, they were still family, and it reminded him clearly of how mortal they all were. This could happen to his siblings. And now...now there was no chance for answers or to mend what had been broken. They were fully alone in this world. There would be no new siblings...they were orphaned. He felt...like he had, the day he and Glace had been abandoned, only there was absolutely no way he could feel any optimism, or any hope their parents would change their mind and welcome them back. They were gone...forever.
