It would be obvious, beside Lillian, just how small her newest daughter was. Well, perhaps it was obvious inside the den as well, with Shaye and Shai for company. However, with Vail really stretching out and standing up and in the sunlight it was easy to see just how tiny the little one was. As Vail responded negatively to Motif's question, the mother would regret everything, would have traveled to the worlds end to wipe that expression from Vail, to bring her ears back up and take away her reason for whining. Honestly, she didn't remember parenting being this hard when it had been Shaye in these situations, then again, she hadn't felt such heart-stopping panic with Shaye before either... Lillian would offer an apology, and admit to her wrong doings, through the grin on her expression ruined it for her. Motif shook her head, but she was clearly amused. Now that the initial shock had gone, and she could breath again, she managed to reign herself in long enough to stop herself from over reacting. She took a few steps forward to lean down and also kiss Vail's head also. “Next time you want to slip out, you should wake me up, I don't mind if you have Shaye, Lillian, Shai or Rhythm with you” she said gently, almost surprised herself at how big the list of acceptable companions where, especially considering how desperately Motif wanted to spirit Vail away and keep the little girl all to herself. |
