He approached with eyebrows raised in a question. She should be off having her wounded tended to, not chatting it up with him. He could wait. Whatever she needed could surely wait.

...or could it? The thought was mildly concerning.

As he approached he studied her face in the hopes of gleaning what information he could from her expression. She looked tired, but who wouldn't be after a fight like that? Their proximity to the gathering was enough of a hint, so when he was finally within speaking distance he queried in a low voice, "Is everything alright, Cas?"
