She turned her bright face up to him and grinned, showing off her...very...yellow...teeth? Confusion had just enough time to set in and begin to scrunch up his face when the peel fell out. Alarmed, his eyes followed it to the ground where he stared at it uncomprehendingly for a tick before realization set in. Oh. The fruit. It was a peel.

Laufey had approached with one goal in mind. The silly fruit grin had thrown him off. He cocked his head, trying to figure her out. In the end he decided her playfulness was a good sign. "Fruit things?" He'd play along. ""Name's Laufey, he said as he inched closer, "And uh, yeah, sure. Why not."

He dropped his head to sniff at one of the fruits she was eating with gusto. It stank. Not terribly so, but it was cloying, too sweet smell that made his head stuffy. It was not unlike the smell of the woman. For a second longer he deliberated and then he took the plunge, snapping up a fruit and swallowing it with as few chews as he could get away with. Yeaaaah, no. He would not be doing that again.

Head lifting, the brute resisted the urge to wrinkle his lips at the taste left in his mouth. But, it did give him an idea. "What if," he said slowly, "I want something sweeter?"
