"They suck, don't they?" Um, yeah. They made his mouth and throat burn a little. "I..." His eyes locked on her cheerful face. "HATE them." It certainly didn't look like she hated them. ...how exactly was she eating them without flinching?

Suddenly she leaned forward and bathed him moist, fruity breath. "But they make me feel good," she whispered loudly, her head bobbing in a nod.

Hm. She wasn't picking up what he was putting down and instead questioned his question. Had he been too subtle? Obviously he'd been too subtle. He was going to have to be clearer. "No," he said carefully, "Not that kind of sweet. Something like..." Laufey stepped closer and sought to nibble at her jaw. "This," he murmured into her ear.
