Kar would swallow hard. Yes, it wasn't fair, but Nalyda was right. Sometimes there were things in life that wasn't fair. He didn't feel strong. He felt absolutely weak and worthless for not being able to protect his beloved from this illness. He would give a small nuzzle to his mate, giving a soft sigh as he set his head upon his paws. Heartache. Wondering how much time she had left. Maybe if he sought out another healer he could help her. But then again.... would it cause her more suffering knowing he was trying in vain?
