Finding home... Or atleast what feels like one

Things had calmed down quite a bit since Crusade had told him of her pregnancy. Who would have thought that the male would be a father. Of course both of them were aging quickly. He himself was seven and she was nine, but it did not matter. He would enjoy whatever time he had with her and the pups. He wouldn't spend it worrying about death. He did, however, worry about being a father. He had learned a few things about a family through his time with Glaciem, but it wasn't like that prepared him for what was to come. Could he even be a suitable father to them? Or would he lock up and become clueless and be more of a burden to Crusade than he would be helpful? The ivory and black wolf shook his head of the thoughts. Instead emerald eyes looked up towards the male snowy owl that had been his companion since before they had migrated to the new lands. A soft bark was all it took to get the bird's attention and from there it was easy. "How's it looking up there?" "I see a male wolf near the borders. He seems a bit... lost." The bird flew ahead and Cifer's pace increased as he raced after the white figure in the sky. It wasn't long before whomever was ahead of them threw back their head and let out a howl for someone in the higher ranks. How convenient for him. The brave soon reached the male and blue-green orbs automatically scanned him in a quick speculation. He was ebony with a few patches of white. Much different compared to his white form, black, and green form. Not many could match Cifer in looks. Most of the time he was nothing but a splotch of black and green when the colder months rolled around. Now he was strikingly beautiful against the summer backdrop. Upon further observation, Cifer could see that they were roughly the same height and both had around the same muscle mass. Hues flickered upwards as the bird descended and landed on his shoulder and he felt the slight prick as talons threatened to pierce his skin as Shificora balanced himself before going still. Content that the owl was comfortable his head turned back towards the stranger. "You lost?" It was a simple question, Shifi had pointed out that he did seem lost. He could have just wanted to talk to someone to ask for directions. Cifer didn't know. Regardless, he wasn't one to be very talkative with strangers and the stoic expression had overtaken his face once more. Whatever the case, Cifer would speak more if needed. For now he just wanted to know why the brute was here. |
