Even without Ellingham there throwing him into conversations and situations he truly didn't want to be in, it seemed that Sorrel had found himself in one of those very annoying moments anyway. Silently he wondered whether the owl would have made things better or worse and honestly he couldn't be entirely sure.
Actually, he knew; it would be worse. It appeared that this wolf didn't need any encouragement to be annoying. She continued following and trying to talk, even introducing herself now though Sorrel wouldn't offer any such formalities himself in return. Ellingham likely would have done, he was definitely feeling thankful that the owl wasn't here.
