Birna marched warily behind the ruling pair, senses geared to the world around her, keen for any sign of trouble. All too soon they reached border of the pack known as Sonticus, the northern pack who's alpha had traveled the vastness of Alacritis while pregnant to speak with the Imperium king. Strange behavior indeed. Birna took in the scents, memorizing them, analyzing them for later as Cascade spoke. Her keen eyes peered across the landscape but she saw mostly snow… and one strange rock in the distance. If it even was a rock, it looked quite wrong to her.
Birna eyed the border. This was a bad idea… they were going to get into so much trouble. A soft smile, unbidden, lightly tugged at her lips. How odd to feel like a little girl again afraid to get caught breaking a rule… the smile quickly faded, setting into a hard frown. Of course her punishments as a girl would be much the same now if they were caught but then she had come leagues in her ability to fight since then. "This is going to be very dangerous." She spoke to no one in particular, just wishing to remind all parties of the seriousness of this venture. Since when had she become the wet blanket? Wasn't that more Bjorn's role?
Birna looked to Valentine, seeking to assess his resolve and new that there was no going back. She steeled herself. "I'm ready whenever you two are." Despite herself she could feel excitement starting to bubble in her gut, especially relating to that strange object in the distance. She'd never seen anything like it.
Valentine called dibs and with a jaunty swag he stepped across the border. Birna dipped her head to Cascade, offering to bring up the rear and when the other had passed she too would follow. Her hackles raised and her senses on pins and needles, waiting for an attack that could come from anywhere. She wondered how the other two could be so calm, even playful, when walking right over another packs borders. Perhaps this pack was smaller or weaker than she feared? Either way though she did not like the odds of three against an entire pack.
