There was nothing quite like a good morning exploration! The boy had been running around all of Abaven, quite literally with the boundless energy he had, and when his father called, well, crashed right into the legs of a stranger who had been going to see him as well. Of course it was really Shrike's fault, but the stranger apologized to the boy and said that he should have watched where he was going. Shrike forgave him and, after the calico man checked him over, they would continue onto the meeting together.

There was tension though, still thick in the air as they arrived. The boy would look at his family, pin pointing Lark. He would scowl some, bounding over to his brother and flopping his rear on the ground. His eyes however betrayed a look of frustration, and a low growl would leave his lips. "What happened here Lark? Why's everyone so upset?" He wanted to know, and he wanted to know now.

Even from way out to the far side of the territory, she could hear Bass' echoing howl, coming from the Serpent Plains. Ah, and she was so busy, too. The dame shuffled her unorganized herbs to the side, deciding to finish placing them in separate piles later, before standing to her paws and slipping out into the sunlight. It was hot...this boiling, uncomfortable summer heat. It didn't help that she had relatively longer fur, too. Harmony turned and began to walk toward the direction in which the howl came from, to stretch her legs and get her sore joints used to walking and traveling a long distance. Before casually breaking out into a quick run, leaping over fallen trees and maneuvering around shrubs that tried to slow her.

Due to her living so far away, she had seemed to arrive quite late. Everyone was gathered in a group around Bass, including her sisters, her young nieces/nephews, and many of the pack members. But out of all, Wren seemed to distance herself away from Bass instead of sitting near him. This clued her into what may be going on. Something wrong, obviously. Speaking of which...a foreign aroma did sort of linger in the air. Harmony made her way over to Starling, her little apprentice, and seated herself next to him, smiling kindly down at him. "Hello, Starling dear. Did I arrive a little too late?" She asked with a playful giggle, her tail thumping gently against the ground.

It would seem that Cataleya had plans of her own for coming here, tossing accusations at her. His eyes remained narrowed as he watched her stock off, the promise of a war on her lips. Bass let out a boom of laughter, watching her leave his pack lands. He would have to seek her out after, but this would be the last time that she crossed his borders without alerting him. No longer would he allow shit like that to get across the line, he would no longer be the weak one. When Wren came in, his eyes followed her, but she instead sat beside Quelt, ignoring her place at his side. Right away his anger melted away, gaze flickering to his son as he ran towards his mother. Heart dropping in his chest he swallowed back a whine, and tried to catch Wren's gaze as he patted the stone beside him. But soon enough all the children piled up on to her, and he knew that even if she wanted to come and join him. She was rather bogged down with children, and he smirked softly as they piled on top of her, his two sisters joining her sides. Alright, that would have to do. He had a lot to talk about, and there wasn't much time to get it all out. The new Abaven was going to start today.

He eyed each of his members in turn, frowning when he saw that one of Chrono and Esperanza's pups had not showed up. Growling softly, he knew that he was going to have to talk to that little one. That litter was old enough now to know that they should be showing up to meetings. Alvin was absent as well, but Bass had remembered he had sent him off to search for his own den. It would seen that Darrah had left, so now the boy could have his own den at last. Nona wasn't here, but as his gaze landed on Allen. She must be in the den still, she had been under the weather lately. Alright, well as long as most of them where here it was good enough for him. Letting out a sigh, he pulled himself down to his rump once more and cleared his throat. All right, time to start.

"I would like to start off this meeting with talk of our new rank. Thanks to Allen's ideas, we have added a field medic to the ranks. These wolves are a combination of all of our ranks, a healer who also knows the basics of fighting. They are also skilled in quick movements and keeping themselves hidden, able to weave into battle to heal those who had fallen. Allen is head of this rank, the Gamrean of Abaven. He is in charge of training not only all the field medics as well as Pera's. The first level of this rank is called Paluni, and the second Nerses. Anyone who would like to switch their training to this rank may speak up now." He paused in his speaking, gaze casting around to see if anyone would speak up. After they had all piped down, he smiled softly as he went on. "I have also added a hunter rank to our pack, since I have heard a few wolves express interest in having this added. Those who would like to switch to hunters, speak up now. However, unlike all other ranks, there is a limit to them. There will only be five pack hunters." He stopped once again, waiting for wolves to speak up before he would move on. "I would also like to congratulate Motif on being given the rank of Kashkar," he eyed his sister with pride, his tail flickering behind him as he tossed a casual wink at her.

Now, was the hard part. He lapsed into a moment of silence, ears flickering atop his head as he tried to gather his thoughts. "Now... Abaven has been laying in the shadows for too long. Our unity and closeness is still strong, and yet our strength is failing. There have been wolves who have not been showing up for training, and our last hunt only two wolves showed up. We need to step up our game, and the discipline for not showing up is going to be greater. There will be training happening more often, and pups will start their training in their chosen field at 6 months old," he gazed at his own pups now, this was their chance to pick what rank they wished to have and start training. "Those who do not show up to two trainings in a row will be docked in rank, if they miss a third they will be asked to leave Abaven. I know that its harsh, but we need to step it up. We are more than just a stale pack, and we will rise from the ashes!" He said loudly, his chest puffing out in pride. They would not sit any longer. "After this meeting has drawn to an end, there will be training held for every rank. Allen will head the Pera and Paluni's, I will be leading a fight training, and Harmony a healing. For those of you who stepped forward as hunters, I would like you to start a hunt. If you think that there are not enough of you, you can take some others with you. Just as long as they come to their training after." At last he finished talking, falling silent as he waiting for them all to either pipe up, or to get ready to get stronger.

OOC: No post order, and second post isn't needed for all wolves unless they have something to say, or would like to speak up about their rank. Heads up for the training threads coming your way!

Bass would not address him individually, but that was alright. Allen would listen as the meeting got underway, feeling a mix of embarrassment, pride, and happiness as Bass brought up his new rank, and the ranks under him, to the pack. He would look to those present. He didn’t know which wolves fell under his jurisdiction just yet, but that would all change soon enough. He would need to leave Nona alone a bit more, to get the ball rolling with training, but that would be managed. As long as she didn’t suddenly disappear from the pack lands he was sure that he would manage just fine.

Gaze would slide to Motif as she was mentioned, giving a small nod to the female in congratulations. There were certainly changes to be going on in Abaven, especially as Bass went on. Stricter disciplinary actions. More training. Allen honestly had to agree that it was needed, though he wondered what prompted Bass to bring it up now. He thought of tht foreign yet familiar scent. He would breathe out, ears flicked back some. He would adjust himself, speaking up.

“I would also suggest and encourage that if you have time to attend as many training sessions as you can. Even if it is not your intended field learning skills in all areas is certainly a help not just to the pack but yourself. I look forward to seeing those of you who attend my training session. Let’s make Abaven something to remember, shall we?” He would give Bass a gentle smile. Abaven would be born again, just as the white man said. They would become a phoenix, soaring over Alacritia once more after rising from it’s own ashes.

Bass wouldn't answer her question, and she shot him a worried glance. She didn't know what had passed or why the other wolf had been here, but she knew everything wasn't alright. She would have to find out if she could help later however, as Bass started the meeting. She did a quick double take herself as she looked at the gathering wolves. She wasn't as familiar with the members as Bass was, but she thought she saw a few faces missing. She also memorized any new ones, and when her eyes settled on Shai she would offer the boy a wink, but wouldn't leave Bass's side to greet him.

The errant thought that once it would have been her and Rhythm by Bass's side plagued her, but she shoved it aside and buried it – she was determined to turn a new leaf and be mature about the decisions Rhythm made.

Motif's attention would fall to Bass as he spoke, and mentioned new ranks in Abaven. He would also mention Motif's new rank – something the two had discussed not long ago. She gave her brother a wink and a subtle nod as her only indication that she appreciated the rank and would honor him in it.
He would move on to mention pups and how 6 months or older would need to chose their field and start training. Her eyes immediately moved to Shaye, her sweet little girl. Her stomach did a little flip at the thought of her choosing warrior training. She was growing so fast, but she was still so small, and to Motif no matter how big she grew she knew she would always see her as her baby. However, Shaye had yet to show interest in any one field and she was curious to know what path her daughter would choose. She would be speaking with both her and Shai after this meeting, Shaye had already passed her six months mark.

Bass would also mention the need to step it up in activity, and she knew she had been lax in this department as she went through the motions of missing Rhythm. Now, holding a high rank, it was even more essential for her to be present and to set a good example. When Bass finished talking to moved closer to her brother, giving him another kiss on his cheek “I'll help you with fighting training” she offered quietly.

Starling would sit by his siblings and mother, shying away from the front and sitting close to Finch. He didn't much even feeling that he was the center of attention, let alone being seen by so many wolves. He stayed silent, even as his father asked them to speak out about their ranks. Harmony arrived in the middle of it, and he grinned up at her as she addressed him. It felt wonderful, to be known by more than just his siblings. But he guessed it wasn't so much a stretch, she was his aunt. "N-no...Well, n-not too late." He giggled. She had missed a bit of drama, but nothing too much. He'd shift to push his forehead into her side, nuzzling her in affection before he turned back to the meeting. Starling didn't very much like spotlights, so once Bass finished his speech, he would slowly wander up towards him, swallowing down his nervousness. Ducking in close to his dad he'd smile up at Bass. "Padre! I'd like to..r-request..." He looked out at all the wolves then and nearly froze, quickly circling around his father. Ah, meetings were terrible! Perhaps he should wait untill they get back to the den to ask. But no, he would have to grow up sometime! He didn't see Lark or the rest of their siblings (Finch aside) hiding behind their parents and hiding from the adult wolves. With a deep breath he'd step out again, smiling up at his father. "U...umh. That M-Miss Harmony could..teach me. Fiore....flowers. Healing!" He didn't think he could be this new field medic, his father had mentioned fighting. But oh...now that he mentioned it! A spark lit up somewhere in Starling, despite the fact that it probably wasn't a very good idea. Fighting? He hadn't really thought of it. All he had known or wanted to know about was the pretty plants that caught his attention. Hmm.

"It doesn't matter where I am, I know that I'm not perfect, and if I can't save people, what worth am I?"

Quelt would listen intently to Bass, moving his ears to show that he was doing so. New ranks sounded amazing. Then again he didn't think he could speak up for anything. Looking at Motif, the rank rang in his ears like a festering wound. Venus used to stand there, and he once upon a time also. His heart beating against his chest, he let out a verbal sigh and smiled. He was glad someone more trustworthy was taking on the position. As things started to settle down, Quelt glanced back at Allen and then turned his head towards Bass.

"I'm not sure what I can help with but I'll be at most of the meetings. If any of you need me for things fighting related I'm open." Quelt spoke looking around. He sat down once more from his standing, there wasn't one thing he regretted about speaking aloud. Especially when he felt this comfortable around these wolves. Though he had to give Allen another dip of his head since he had seen him.

AND I HAVE TO PROTECT YOU.
Limno's body moved to Bass speaking, her lime green eyes widened a little bit. This was probably the most amazing thing she had attended in her life. She had never been in a pack and this gathering of wolves was huge, she had tried to compare it to her small family but it was not to be compared. Her tail flicked behind her as she stepped on the ground standing when he spoke about the hunters in limited spot. Instantly she had jumped up with huge enthusiasm, "Bass Sir I'd like to snag a hunter spot. It's my strong point and I'm well trained in it." She smiled at him.

"I can lead the next hunt as well." might as well give it a shot now that she was up. Highly considering she was the first to speak up about the rank. It was fine if she was rejected though, she was fresh to the pack. Half of these wolves didn't even know her name, but they would, oh in time they would come to know it.
