There was nothing quite like a good morning exploration! The boy had been running around all of Abaven, quite literally with the boundless energy he had, and when his father called, well, crashed right into the legs of a stranger who had been going to see him as well. Of course it was really Shrike's fault, but the stranger apologized to the boy and said that he should have watched where he was going. Shrike forgave him and, after the calico man checked him over, they would continue onto the meeting together.
There was tension though, still thick in the air as they arrived. The boy would look at his family, pin pointing Lark. He would scowl some, bounding over to his brother and flopping his rear on the ground. His eyes however betrayed a look of frustration, and a low growl would leave his lips. "What happened here Lark? Why's everyone so upset?" He wanted to know, and he wanted to know now.
Even from way out to the far side of the territory, she could hear Bass' echoing howl, coming from the Serpent Plains. Ah, and she was so busy, too. The dame shuffled her unorganized herbs to the side, deciding to finish placing them in separate piles later, before standing to her paws and slipping out into the sunlight. It was hot...this boiling, uncomfortable summer heat. It didn't help that she had relatively longer fur, too. Harmony turned and began to walk toward the direction in which the howl came from, to stretch her legs and get her sore joints used to walking and traveling a long distance. Before casually breaking out into a quick run, leaping over fallen trees and maneuvering around shrubs that tried to slow her.
Due to her living so far away, she had seemed to arrive quite late. Everyone was gathered in a group around Bass, including her sisters, her young nieces/nephews, and many of the pack members. But out of all, Wren seemed to distance herself away from Bass instead of sitting near him. This clued her into what may be going on. Something wrong, obviously. Speaking of which...a foreign aroma did sort of linger in the air. Harmony made her way over to Starling, her little apprentice, and seated herself next to him, smiling kindly down at him. "Hello, Starling dear. Did I arrive a little too late?" She asked with a playful giggle, her tail thumping gently against the ground.
