Azure 'ooh'd as she got to work with the rock, impressed and interested with her technique. "Good." He complimented, arching his neck over her small form so he could see. It was a small brain, but he wasn't sure exactly how big a brain needed to be anyways to tan something. "We need to cut that cord so we can take the brain out, if we just pull on it it'll get everywhere and we need as much of it as we can for the hide." His nose gestured towards the barely visible base of the brain and where it connected. "Your paws are so small, maybe you can do it but you gotta be careful not to mess with the brain matter too much. If you can snip it with a claw we can probably just..." Azure trailed off, glancing around the area. "We can probably tilt the corpse and shake it onto the hide, then it doesn't matter if it breaks when it falls cause it will get where it needs to be anyways." It made sense to him, at least. With the hide ready to be brained, Az spoke of how to keep the brain in tact. He suggested that he tip the head while she cut the cord with her claws. The girl raised her left paw, flexed her pads, and watched her sharp little claws come into view. "Let's give it a shot." As he tilted the head over the skin, the bloodied girl carefully slid her claws along the spinal cord, severing it in a few swipes. The grey matter plopped onto the hide and crumbled. She was really looking forward to squishing it between her toes as they rubbed it into the skin. Her tail began to swish behind her in anticipation. "We do the best things together, Az. I can't be me around anyone else." She smiled up at her brother. "So thank you." Then, looking back to the skin, she squished a bit of the spattered brain into it.

Asla quickly got to work on de-braining the animal, and as the gooey mess plopped onto the hide did not hesitate to squish her paws into it. Azure quickly followed suit, stepping up beside her to lay his wide paws atop the mess and squish it between his toes. It was always his favorite part of the tanning process, and while he didn't care to actually have the hide tanned at the end of it he was always excited to destroy the brain. His sister looked toward him and he gave her a smile. "Same here." As much as he may have loved his other siblings, there was an odd connection between the bloodthirsty pups that made activities like this simply more enjoyable when Asla was around. Azure seemed to reciprocate the feelings that she'd expressed and the girl's grin widened. Together they mashed the brain into the hide. The cloud didn't have much brain to go around, so the layer on the hide was incredibly thin. She spread it just the same, careful to try and get to every edge of the skin. Just like Az, she didn't really care to have the skin once it was processed, she just like playing with things. The brain squished between her toes and it felt just like she wanted it to. It was turning out to be an absolutely perfect day.
