The pawpad 'blows' landed, though not where she had planned as Malalia skirted out of the way. The girl slammed into her stomach eliciting a grun, the momentum sliding the big woman's hind paws back somewhat. Her great weight helped against toppling her over.

Now that Malalia was beneath her, Resin aimed to wrap her paws around the girl's middle and hips, claws touching the soft, tender parts of belly and thigh. If her hold worked, she would throw her weight to the side in an attempt to take them both to the ground. Their spar was over and holding back was more of a workout than letting loose. She hoped that one day she and Malalia could fight side by side so that the pair could really see what the other could do.

The girl snorted with displeasure when her momentum only managed to jerk the woman backwards somewhat, not that their size differences did her any favors. Mal would rear backwards in an attempt to escape, once it was clear that the move backfired, but Resin was already on top of her, pushing her weight down and wrapping her own claws around her middle. She could feel the dull prickle of the blades nicking against her stomach, but the scratch was none too serious.

Mal would twist her neck inwards and nip at Resin's belly in the meantime, and her forepaws would again reach out to slide down Resin's hindlegs. But it was all she could do. She went down with the gray woman, the breath ripping out of her as they came crashing against the stone, though thankfully a part of her weight would land on the older wolf rather than the hard platform.
