Zee approached and began to question her, but there was no time. Now that her own breath was caught, she needed to help Sirius catch his. The woman placed her paws upon his rib cage and pressed hard, bouncing her weight down upon him like a bear trying to break open a log. After several compressions, Sirius coughed and vomited up a slew of water and other bits from his stomach, but he remained unconscious. At least he was breathing now.
The act had tweaked her bad leg and the maned woman sat down for a moment, raising her left paw and giving it a shake while flexing her toes. Could she drag him back to the den? Of course. Would she pay for it? Most likely. Thankfully she'd pulled him onto the back on the same side of the inlet as the den or she would have refused. Swimming him through the water again would have been a stupid thing to attempt.
Zee questioned whether he would be okay and Resin gave a shrug. "He's breathing, but that's all I know." She was no healer. "If he struck his head, Iolaire will tend to him." Hopefully someone was on the way to fetch her daughter.
With her leg feeling a little better, Resin stooped to grab Sirius by the scruff yet again. No doubt there would be lacerations from her teeth, but there was no helping it now. With Zee hopefully leading the way to direct her on where to deposit him, Resin drug the giant of a man across the grass and into their den where she released him on a pile of furs.
