As The Storm Rages

Audra half expected Hattori to dissipate into nothing as his cold stare permeated into her soul. Was he supposed to be some sort of sign for her? Or was he just a kind stranger with words to give? In the end, she knew he was right and there was nothing much left for her to do. She would stay true to her word and at least stay with Vahalla until winter's deep chill had left at signs of spring. That much she at least owed the pack who had kindly taken her in. "Thank you, Hattori, Shogun of Ashen," her soft voice lamented on the crisp breeze as night had fallen. "I appreciate your words of wisdom and you've been more than helpful," reaching a paw out as she bowed with her chin to her toes, she held the pose for a moment. As she stood, she gave one more nod in his direction with a friendly smile. "If our paths cross again one day, maybe I will be able to be of assistance to you." At that, Audra turned with a swish of her tail before disappearing off of Obsidian Beach and into the dark woods. |

Hattori watched her bow deep, a wordless show of gratitude that was soon backed up verbally. He hadn't -nor would he ever-demand this of her, or anyone, but he appreciated it all the same. It seemed as though he'd given her much to think about, an encouraging sign if she truly intended to bring an end to her naive streak. He idly wondered how the world would change her, if her soft edges would be sanded into points. Only time would tell. And no doubt the world would change much between then and now, shifting and turning, melding old into new.
"Till then. " Was all he said, content to be left alone once more.
