The thought of making up a strategy against a massive foe like a bear thrilled the girl. Her mind raced with possibilities, each more cunning than the last. Each steadily drifting into more viceral territory.
She listened intently to the various suggestions, each pup offering their own take. She remained silent, her gaze fixed on Aresenn as he turned away, giving them space to think up their plans. But Ravana paid the talking no mind, instead her fur bristled, and her skull dropped between her shoulders and she skulked up to the fiery brute.
When Aresenn turned back, lowering his head and growling like a bear, Ravana felt a surge of adrenaline. This was the moment she lived for, the thrill of the hunt. She circled around, her eyes locked on her father's movements, looking for an opening. She watched as a few of her siblings erupted into an attack. But she crouched low, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. When it came, the caramel girl rocketed onto her father’s back, clamping sharp puppy teeth into his scruff.

For the most part, his littermates and adoptive siblings alike were silently absorbing Aresenn’s teaching, storing the information in the corners of their memories for later use. Sericea spoke up in the end, Dracun following shortly after and Aresenn was quick to answer them both. For now, Zagan remained silent, listening to their conversation, waiting for Aresenn to show them the importance of his teachings.
Aresenn wanted them to create a strategy, lumbering towards them like he was a grizzly bear. Zagan smirked, revealing his needle-like teeth, a spark of excitement flickering in his bi-colored gaze. Adrenaline surged through him, beckoning him to engage. Ludo was the first to lunge forward, trying to get Aresenn’s attention and Zagan was quick to engage. Xina was going for Aresenn’s neck, Ravana his scruff, and Zagan, went straight for his right shoulder. He sank his puppy teeth into the meaty portion of his shoulder, where it connected to his chest.

Everyone was silently absorbing Aresenn’s teachings- well, until Seri and Dracun, their littermates, spoke up. Abyss was interested in what Father's response to Seri’s question would be, their dual-colored gaze settling on him, expectantly awaiting an addition to his previous teaching.
He gave a brief explanation, saying it was wise to know when an opponent had the upper hand. Nodding, Abyss stores the information, anticipation welling inside them at the mention of another lesson on a different day. They wanted to learn as much as they could.
And then, it was time for action! Father started pretending like he was a bear, beckoning them forward and wanting the group to create a strategy. Ludo took the initiative, telling them to all attack at once and Abyss nodded to their brother, agreeing with his plan. Lunging after him, Abyss looked for an opening, deciding to bite at Aresenn’s left front leg.

That was exactly what he wanted to hear! Practice made perfect, and how else was he going to be perfect if opportunities weren't laid out for him to excel? Of course, he had to compete with both his blood and adopted siblings, but how could they stand next to him? Well, maybe some of them could, but certainly not all! And Dracun was more than determined to be the best.
While the others launched too quickly in his opinion- this was a pretend bear fight after all, Dracun briefly waited, watching, and planning his attack. Siblings spread out, going for limbs, throats, shoulders, everywhere a bear could easily defend! Silly siblings! Didn't they know bears were strong, aggressive creatures? Bigger than their father, bigger than even he was supposed to be.
The others were attacking, certainly distracting their father or so he hoped while he began to tip-toe around, keeping himself quiet and as low to the ground as he could without crawling, sneaking around behind their father. He wasn't grown yet, but he was tall, so his plan had to work right? Once behind their father, he watched carefully, ominous eyes trained on the backside of his father, upon his spine and the scruff of his neck. If he could grab right behind the skull he would certainly win, right? Well, it was time to find out.
Thigh muscles coiled tight as he geared for a launch and he sprung forth a moment later with forelegs outstretched and claws spread for his best chance at grabbing on, but it was his fangs that sought purchase- to grab and pinch at his fathers thick coat, to get the upperhand by attacking from both behind and above. Aresenn was no bear of course, but was there a better way to attack something so... aggressive?

Xairo watched the flurry of activity with a mix of amusement and exasperation. His siblings were leaping into action without thought, without strategy. It was clear to Xairo that they had much to learn from their father's teachings.
The young Saxe, however, had always been a keen observer. He had a knack for watching and understanding, dissecting pieces to understand the whole. His bright green eyes drank in the scene - his siblings' attacks, their father’s subtle reactions and defenses. There was a rhythm to it- a display of raw power and skill. He felt a thrill rush through him as he studied the spectacle. His pulse quickened, his muscles twitched in anticipation- and once he was ready- he too joined the fray.

Her acidic green eyes narrowed in focus as she watched her siblings charge at their father, each with their own strategies and techniques. She knew she wasn't the strongest among her siblings, but what she lacked in brute strength, she more than made up for with her sharp intellect and cunning. She watched Dracun and Ludo as they bounced around, each trying to outdo the other in their displays of wild energy. Xairo, although slower to engage, moved with a predator's stealth, his every step calculated and deliberate.
While her brothers engaged, she leaned back on her haunches, meticulously analyzing the scenario. Observing their father's movements and reactions, the subtle flexing of his muscles, the way he repositioned his body weight and shifted his stance against their relentless assault. Patience was her ally in this moment. And as one of the last pups to engage, she took her own shot, with movements percise and calculated.
