Not even a day would go by before his new alpha was calling the pack together for a meeting. Instantly he would begin rise, just as he would should Seracia's alpha had called their pack together. He had been taking a much needed nap since his arrival roughly eight hours ago, as it had been a long journey for him, especially while lugging along his precious cargo. He would regain his balance and bow the upper portion of his body so that he could stretch his limbs. Lazily he would yawn, and he would shake himself in one last attempt at clearing his hazy mind. He would then stride toward Erani's call, reaching the scene within a few minutes of traveling. There were already a lot of members gathered, and his gaze would immediately search for Chrysanthe among the crowd. He was here for her after all, and so he aimed to stay by her side as much as possible. That's what she wanted, right? He would weave through them, his nostrils quivering as his gaze frantically searched for her. "Where is she?"

Sephiroth

The call. He would recognize the call of his Alphess anywhere. He rose immediately from his crouched position on the other side of the territory, signaling to Caerul that it was time to go. They had been out on a hunt, tracking down a rather large buck that would require more then one to bring down. Both males made their way quickly towards the meeting place, the light of the moon illuminating their pelts as they swept through the territory. He hoped Erani wouldn't be upset, they hadn't meant to be late, but this meeting was unexpected as well. Aquamarine eyes sought out the forms of his pack mates, while nostrils picked up on the scents of the gathered. Breaking away from Caerul, he made his way through the throng of the gathered to settle on Erani's side opposite from Surreal. He cast a quick apologetic glance towards his Alphess, clearly sorry for his lateness. He remained quiet, however, as he looked around at the pack. There were many new faces, one in particular caught his attention; a cross marked male he had seen briefly once before, vaguely familiar. Why did this male tug at his mind? Where had he seen him? He would make sure to officially welcome him to Valhalla soon after the meeting. For now, he would wait patiently. Although...something else tugged at his mind. Where was Seraphine?

Ears pricked, eyes intent upon the prey. He and Sephiroth had been tracking this buck all night, and they were oh so close to getting it. But then, a call would jump him from his concentration, head turning towards the direction of the howl before looking at Sephiroth. At the signal, Caerul would follow his Beta back towards the meeting area. He was a little disappointed that they wouldn't be bringing the buck back, but they could always track it again later...if it remained nearby, that is. But the howl had spooked it away, and it had gone bounding into the darkness. However, Erani's wrath was much more scarier. He did not want to keep his aunt waiting, and so he and Sephiroth moved as quickly as possible through the brush until they arrived. Everyone seemed to be gathered already...well, almost. Some were still missing, but most were already there. He moved towards his brother Alsander, noting that Cael was not around. Where had his brother disappeared to? Nodding his greeting to Erani, he turned towards his brother and gave a brotherly affectionate nuzzle before putting his attention to Erani, curious as to what this meeting would be about.

Laufey may have been nervous, but Orochi certainly was not. The pup loved being the center of attention, as he trumped along the creamy pup wagging his tail stopping in the middle of the crowd. He flashed himself with a little dance giggling like a little girl for a moment as he moved over to his brother and pressed his pelt against his. Wagging his tail he sat down with a stupid smile over his face. "Don't be scared, everyone here will love you!" he said to Laufey with confidence. The bright pup was one to protect his family ten fold when it came down to it.
"Beside's what idiot would hurt a couple of beautiful pups like ourselves." Orochi noted, placing a paw on his brothers head and messing up his fur a bit. He made sure to make it more comfortable. Plus flashing himself off was the most fun he had since he had left the woods they had created their home in. Regardless of the missing parents or more.

She was late to the meeting - but she would definitely show, wanting to be there to see what her mother had to say to the pack. The woman was curious of course, but she would be happy to attend, this was the first meeting that Valhalla would hold under Erani's banner. The gamma's eyes would flick over the wolves that were here, some she recognized, some that she didn't, and her one eyed gaze would settle on her daughter, and then Themisto. It would seem that Odette had been looking for her too, for they would lock eyes and hten the girl was at her side, nuzzling her while sitting down beside her. "Odette dear, have I missed anything?" She would question somewhat cheekily - her daughter's presence seemed to bring out something playful within her - Before noting that Themisto seemed to be looking for something. For her. She would fight not to grin at the thought, before calling him over to sit on her other side. "Themisto!" The woman would beckon, loud enough that he could hear him over the murmurs of the gathering crowd, but not enough to disturb those that were close to her. She wanted to show him Valhalla's territory if he hadn't seen it all for himself on his way here - she also wanted to properly introduce him to Odette. Hopefully he and her daughter would find it within themselves to get along.

Vahva trailed more or less behind Chrysanthe but then broke off to the pups she was looking after to make sure they were alright. Of course Orochi was fairing well, Laufey was as bright as he ever was. The other three pups looked to be off exploring but no doubt would be right behind her. She certainly hoped their mother Raven would come to collect them soon. Having a group of pups made others look a bit suspicious at the lady. They were not her pups, after all, she had two children already and one had torn off her ear that was enough for her.

Flicking her tail she gave a dip of her head to Erani as greeting then ran her tongue across Laufey's head to try and make him feel less nervous. She smiled, and tried to sigh her frustration away. There was no need to feel so nervous, Chrysanthe already agreed or rather said she'd make sure others wouldn't cause her trouble. After the challenge the girl had felt rather nervous about their feelings about her. After all, they probably thought her stories were all bluffs now.

She would return, but not to a home she once was apart of. Perhaps this was her path, what she was destined for. Be alone, pack life too ridiculous. And so the large woman would move through the dark of night, head held high, her once deep blue right eye now clouded and damaged from the fight she had gone through with Isardis. Even though she had lost, Seraphine felt proud of herself. She had stood her ground, stood up for something she had held close to her heart, that she believed in. She had put up a good fight for somebody her age.

Paws moved quickly, somewhere between and walk and jog, not eager to reach her destination but also not taking her time. After recovering a bit from her fight the female had gone back to the island, only to find the stale scent of the Valhallans, which was what brought her here. It wouldn't be long now before she reached it now, figures beginning to appear not too far ahead.

Seraphine would hold herself with pride, head held high, body relaxed yet held together. Her face would show nothing of what the wolves might be feeling, relief, amusement, happiness? No, she would have a look of displeasure up until she arrived, coming up on the group's right side. Gold and milky grey eyes would run over all of them as she came to a stop, a slight look of disgust forming. Her gaze would then fall upon Sephiroth standing near one of the older members of Valhalla, the well known healer Erani. Eyes narrowed on him, lip lightly twitching, a look of coldness swirling with hatred. The girl wasn't one to be aggressive, but this look, how she held herself, something was most definitely wrong. ?Out of this lot, your the one I'm most disappointed in.? The yearling's tones were very serious, clearly irritated for multiple things. ?You, me... now.? She would give a motion for him to come with her, there were serious things they needed discuss and should anyone try to intervene, the girl would have no problem knocking them to the ground.

Tonight, she was not fooling around.

When his alpha called Ravine moved quickly. He did not wish to be a rogue ever again. He wanted to know what she had to say and wanted to know if his parents were here because he had had no luck finding them. He hadn't even seen the giant black beast with hooves yet, but he would he was sure of it.

Many others had arrived before him, but he was ok with that as they were probably closer to Erani when she had called them all to her. Slowly he made his way to the front of the group, greeting everyone with a smile as he passed them. To Erani he would bow and speak to her briefly "My lady it is good to see you again. I thought I should tell you that I've come to a decision on which profession I would like to specialize in. Hunting is what I do best, but ill try my hardest to learn a bit about the other professions."

Had the meeting already started?! Lyric certainly hoped not as she made her way toward her mother's call. She had been out near Wolfpaw lake, and as such, it took a few minutes for her to sprint to the heart of Vericona. Nimble paws would carry the lean woman toward the gathered lupine, and she would enter to the side opposite of Serephine. Without seeing her, she would settle into a place where she could easily see her mother. The woman had been gone for days, as well as some of the higher ranked members of Valhalla. They had gone to forge a few alliances, right? Lyric hoped that they had been successful, more friends to the pack was always a good thing. A small smile would be ever present on the girl's lips, and she would settle in with the crowd, almost not noticing that someone very familiar to her was seated among the others. Her swirled eyes would widen, and her smile would break into something a bit wider as she gently approached Alpine. "I didn't expect you so soon!" She would whisper, sitting beside him. Lyric was unaware that he had joined the pack, only knew that he had showed up in time for a pack meeting. Maybe she could show him around after all of this official stuff was over.

The brown brute had heard the call of Erani, and had immediately moved back towards the plains to heed to it. He wondered what was going on, and when he drew closer he could smell the mass number of wolves. Stifling his nervousness, he would hesitate at the edge of the pack, his light eyes scanning them briefly, noting that his half sister was already there and he wondered which of these other wolves were family. Moving to the edge of the group, he sat down, his light blue eyes finding the form of Erani, as a slight smile danced at his jaws. He'd grow comfortable here soon enough- once he had gotten to meet more of the pack. The ones he had met already, made him feel welcome- a feeling that he enjoyed. He wrapped his tail around him, his eyes glancing around as he waited for the meeting to start, and he wondered what was going on.

She had arrived. And she was pissed. Sephiroth's ears fell back as Seraphine asked, no. Demanded him to follow her. He cast a quick glance of apology to Erani before quietly slipping away, a look given to Caerul signaling him something unsaid. He received a brief and near invisible nod from the Digamma confirming that he would fill him in later. Without another word, he slipped into the bushes opposite from the other wolves. He didn't care what they thought, he cared about Seraphine and every wolf knew not to disobey an angry female else they feel her wrath. And he knew Seraphine was a tough one, she had gone up against Glaciems king, and although she had lost, she had still fought valiantly...something he had to admire. And even then, he had a feeling about what she was mad about. He had been neglecting her lately, his duties as beta had gotten in the way, and why? All because he thought that if he tended to those first, she would remain safe...but it was because of him, because he simply stood by and watched his Alphess fight for her title, believing she could beat the odds...then Seraphine had done what he had kept hidden in the back of his mind, challenging someone who wasn't impossible to defeat, and although she had lost sight in one eye, she had put up a good fight and gave the coral ghost a taste of what a Valhallan warrior could do.

He crept silently through the brush, mind swirling with thoughts of what was to come. What would Seraphine do? What would he do? Was she so mad with him that she wanted nothing more to do with him? Aqua gaze stung for a minute, chest tightening like the bangles upon his forepaws. He felt the inevitable was going to happen, and all he could do was pray that she'd give him one last chance. And so he sat, moon light upon his pelt, the air around him was still and silent...and he waited.

Newol

The brute looked up from where he stood at the shore of the lake when the call reached his ears. He had been cleaning the day off of his fur, taking a moment to himself in the process. The past few days had been eventful for him. Newol was the desert brat stray from the wilderness no more. He had been formally adopted by Erani only just days before. And the title had taken some getting used to. In fact, he was still getting used to it in his head. In fact, it had damn near changed him. Rising to his paws, he took off toward the song that had graced the sky.

The brute had to be aware of himself in a new ways now. Ways he didn't have to before. His actions spoke of someone more than just himself now. They spoke of his family. They spoke of his Alpha, and by extent, his whole pack. As well as the Zaraidd Bloodline. His only fear thought was that he might find a view somewhere along those borders that clashed with one another. But he also believed that the likely hood of that was very very low. This new name of his though, he had grown increasingly very fond of. Newol Zaraidd Adravendi. It had a very nice ring to it.

Finally, the new Adravendi stepped into the group of wolves around the stone, taking a place in the crowd where the woman he could call mother and that called him son could see him. He settled on his rump and did his best to calm himself, but he was still uncomfortable around all these wolves. He recognized most by face now, as they where his pack mates, but didn't actually know them that well. And he was certain they could share a similar story of him. It made him uneasy. He's ears standing on end and tail swinging behind him every now and again, he checked around him, sizing up the crowd, before finally settling his eyes on Erani. He was sure she knew how much this was uncomfortable for him, but he was trying his best. Finally, he forced and uneasy smile to his maw.

At least he was freshly groomed.

Was she late like she always was? For the time being it did not matter, she was always in and out of Valhalla territory, and as of late she was more out then in. A few nights ago she had met Dhiren from Ludicael, and he was rather sweet and experiencing something she was currently going through. In the future, she hopes that perhaps they can meet up once again, perhaps by a call, or maybe because of another fall. It had been to long since Guinevere had been able to call someone a friend, especially so quickly. A smile would slowly form upon her lips before entering the meeting. She also had no desire to be in the center of it all, it wasnt like she knew a lot of wolves here anyway. Perhaps soon the youth could take a 'vacation' and go find her family, staying away from Valhalla for few months in the hopes to re unite with them all once again. It wouldnt be for long, it seems as valhalla had enough hands to help about. Her honey gaze would look over to everyone individually; before going of to sit beside a tree, away from anyone in the hopes of not having to make an effort to communicate. She would sigh before laying down, watching everyone closely and waiting for something to happen. "talk"

The Ooze Participant
03-24-2014, 06:43 PM (This post was last modified: 03-25-2014, 08:19 PM by Erani.)
Erani

Erani was pleased with how quickly Jinxx, one of the new members just joined this night, arrived to her call. A gentle smile and a dip of her head was given in response to his words of greeting and thanks. ?It is my hope that you enjoy life here in Valhalla.? Deep blue gaze sparkled at the young cross marked male, before her eyes turned away as Friction and his son arrived. Stepping down from the flat boulder, Erani pressed her brow to Friction?s in an affectionate greeting. He was her brother through Craft, and she was beyond glad that he had chosen to stay as part of Valhalla, with his new family included. ?And it?s wonderful to see you, Craft Brother. And your little terror, too.? She added, poking her nose against Erion?s little belly with a playful snort as Eria and Isis came. Eria was greeted with a warm smile, and Isis with a playful nudge to the shoulder, before Erani bounded back onto the boulder, turning to settle onto her haunches as Alpine arrived.

The familiarity Alpine showed to Erion was not un-noticed; obviously, even in the short few hours Alpine had been in Valhalla, he?d already had a run-in with the little male. Blue eyes twinkled under the moonlight as she could guess how that meeting had gone. Erion had none of the same interest his father possessed for healing, being far more interested in the idea of a rough and tumble warrior, and most of the boy?s games consisted of fighting off imaginary intruders at the ravine exit during the times Erani pup-sat for Eria and Friction. Erani gave a soft chuckle at the thought of the last game, then turned her eyes toward the next arrival, Arwel. She could guess at his relation. She?d seen Meili a time or two at previous meetings, and she rather thought that Meili and Arwel shared a few characteristics. Perhaps a similar facial structure. It did make her wonder where the previous secondary Psi had gone.

A warm smile was returned to the male as he settled beside Jinxx(?), before Imena?s arrival pulled her attention away. Deep blue eyes studied the Theta Primary closely, taking in the weary undertones of the small smile given to the new wolves. She had noticed that Imena had been keeping to herself lately, and wondered why. She would need to get to the bottom of that later. Surreal, Alsander and Cormalin arrived then, and as Surreal climbed the boulder to settle beside her, Erani caught a blast of her daughter?s heat scent. Poor thing. However, Erani didn?t coddle her eldest daughter. It was a part of life, and something that Surreal would deal with yearly. She pressed her nose into her daughter?s brow, dropping a light kiss in it?s wake, which seemed to soothe some of the restless energy that fairly vibrated in her daughter?s body.

Alsander?s comment from beside Jinxx was met with a rich, husky laugh. ?Oh, they are, I look forward to sleeping a good while. I?m sure you do as well, Alsander.? Canines glinted in the moonlight as she smiled at her silvery nephew, deep blue eyes turning to her brother with a warm glint as Shilah, one of the Nomads who had appeared recently, arrived to settle near Jinxx as well. She did wonder how the Cross marked male must feel, surrounded by strange wolves all around him. She was glad to see Cormalin welcoming the young male warmly, before his mismatched gold and blue gaze searched through the forms. She knew who he sought. Cael and Claire. His two youngest, and both missing. They will be back, someday, dearest brother of mine. Be patient.

Amia was next to arrive, and she seemed surprised to see Shilah, her passage pausing with a cock to her head that fairly seemed to say ?What, huh??. She seemed to recover herself swiftly, and Erani watched her take a seat near Imena, not missing the way her eyes lingered on the males. A faint smile twitched over Erani?s muzzle before her eyes were drawn to Sarak as he arrived, her heart panging sadly at the way he moved, how mechanical it was, and how lost he seemed these days. Azalea had never returned from the battlefield, and her children had been taken from the island, no doubt to Glaciem. For now, there was nothing she could do about it. Valhalla needed time before crossing blades with Glaciem again to bring the lost children home. Don?t worry, we will be strong enough to take them down, and bring Kismet and Soren home.

Leon arrived, and Erani smiled warmly at him, thinking of how this night would be his and Ashtoreth?s, as much as Valhalla?s. Tonight, she would be bringing them together before the pack. Deep blue gaze flicked about to see if she?d missed Ashtoreth arriving, instead finding the arrival of Flamesong. To his greeting, she smiled. ?All is very well, Flamesong.? As he turned to speak to Amia, Odette arrived, and Erani smiled at her as she meandered about, obviously seeking out Chrysanthe. A soft gasp distracted her, and he looked down and back. It was Laufey, one of the five pups that had come to Valhalla for safe keeping until their other mother, Raven, came to take them, if she ever did. The boy seemed to be crying, and as Erani moved, intending to go down and comfort the boy, Tyr showed to be nearby, offering the pup a spot beside him. Erani gave the male a soft smile, turning her head back in time to note Ashtoreth?s arrival. Good.

Themisto was next to arrive, and he too seemed to be searching the crowd. Erani guessed it was for Chrysanthe, as he had joined for her daughter. Something about the male struck her as off, and it wasn?t the lack of his tail. The scent resting upon his fur when he had come to join had been that of a rogue female? And come to think of it, the scent had been similar to Jinxx? scent. A sibling perhaps? Perhaps it was just a friend, but? She just wasn?t sure. She didn?t want to see her daughter?s hearts broken. Sephiroth arrived with Caerul, and gave her an apologetic look, to which she gave a gentle smile that said all was well. Caerul, meanwhile, had settled beside his brother and father, and Erani smiled at him, knowing Alsander would give him an earful of stories about their trip to the other packs.

Another of the pups from Laufey?s arrival arrived, and this one was completely the opposite of his brother, flaunting himself like a bird during breeding season. As the pups were likely not permanent, and this night was all about fun and joy, Erani didn?t set her paw down on the antics, and as the little male went to cajole and soothe his brother, Erani smiled slightly. Ah, pups. Such amusing, wonderful miracles. Chrysanthe arrived then, and Erani enjoyed watching the moment Odette spotted her, and how quickly she could go from one end of the crowd to attached to her mother?s hip in a blink. Chrysanthe called over Themisto, and Erani sent her daughter a warm smile,

Vahva arrived, and the smile was turned toward her for a moment while she also tried to settle Laufey?s nerves. The female was a good surrogate mother to them, and it saddened Erani some that she?d had such bad luck with her own children. A son who had joined with Glaciem, and torn off Vahva?s ear, and threatened her life, a daughter who was wandering Alacritis alone? Erani could share her pain there. She had two sons who had been gone for a very long time, and Arella? Where was her cheerful, wayward middle daughter? Seraphine chose that moment to stalk through the crowd, negativity rolling off of her in waves toward the pack, while she herself carried herself with some pride. The loss of sight to her blue eye was noted, and Erani dipped her head to her. A faint frown creased the fur between Erani?s brow points as Seraphine spoke to Sephiroth. Deep blue gaze flicked to Sephiroth, and she nodded slightly, permission given for him to go. As the two left, Lyric arrived, and Erani pressed aside the negativity to smile warmly at her youngest, noting that Lyric seemed to already know Alpine.

Ravine had also arrived, and to his words, Erani nodded, pleased with his choice. They needed good hunters, as much as they needed fighters and healers. Wolves could not function if they were starving. ?Well chosen, Ravine. You?ll make your father proud. I?ll announce your choice to the pack with the rest of the Epsilons.? Tones were low and gentle, loud enough for his ears to catch, but the other wolves would not hear over the general chit chat and hubbub. Valerius arrived, and Erani smiled from over Ravine?s ears to the male who so closely resembled his sire, save for his own unique markings. She greatly hoped that his remaining two siblings would arrive soon, and bring their Adravendi strength to Valhalla. It was what Cairo would have wanted. What he did want.

Newol arrived, and Erani could see he was a bit overwhelmed by so many wolves. She offered him an encouraging smile, before noting Guinevere?s arrival. The young female took a place apart from the rest of the pack, and Erani wondered what was on her mind. The vanishing of her parents was, no doubt, weighing on the girl, and her sisters having gone as well? Erani supposed she couldn?t blame her for straying apart from the pack. Speaking of Guinevere?s siblings? Erani did a quick sweep of the wolves gathered. Gael was absent. A glance up at the moon said it was time to announce the good news to the pack, and initiate the Ceremony for Leon and Ashtoreth. So she rose with a mental clearing of her throat, and spoke to her family.

?Valhallans,? She began, pausing long enough to gaze at them with a gentle, warm smile, and for them to take notice and pay attention. Once each head had turned, and every ear was pricked, she dipped her head with a soft grin, then raised her head and addressed them. ?First of all, I would like to thank you for joining me this night, and for being with me as a pack; as a family. I hope that you have all settled, those who came with me since the island, and that those who are new to Valhalla find all that they hoped to find here. I would like to welcome Jinxx, Alpine, Amia, Valerius, Newol, Eria, Arwel, Shilah, Tyr, and Themisto to our family. Also to be welcomed are the five foster children Vahva is caring for until their mother returns for them. Laufey, Orochi, and their siblings. I also wish to welcome home those who have returned to us. Lyric, my youngest born daughter, Ravine Tsarev, son of Thane and Ookami.? She paused to give her daughter and Ravine a warm smile, eyes flicking away to seek out each of the faces she?d announced.

After a moment, she continued. ?I am also very happy to announce that my brother is home. Cormalin has returned from imprisonment at Glaciem.? Deep blue gaze rested on her brother, meeting his warm blue and gold eyes, before turning to the pack at large once more. With a smile on her face, she spoke on. ?We also have a birth to celebrate, though it was before Valhalla?s return to the Mainland. Eria and Friction have produced two children. Erion and Isis. I would like everyone to help them become as strong as they can be, so that they will succeed in all they attempt in life.? After a pause to glance over to the happy mates her mind turned to the next subject, and she lifted her chin a fraction, gazing at her pack.

?Tonight,? she said, velvet rich voice rolling over the gathering, ??Is a night for celebrations. As some of you may know, I, and my Nephew, Alsander, left on the last new moon on a journey to the Eastern packs Ludicael and Ebony to see about alliances with them. I am proud to announce that both meetings with the leaders were successful. We also will be celebrating the birth of the Ludicael Alphas second litter. All five pups born healthy and strong.? She smiled softly, eyes dancing from one set of eyes to the next. ?Our Ebony Allies were visited by Isardis, and were not impressed by him. Raisa Xanilov is the Queen of Ebony. Song Destruction and Cherokee are the leaders, Oracle and Guardian, of Ludicael. Remember their names should we ever need to send for their assistance.?

Once again, her deep blue gaze would rest upon each wolf of her pack, warm, loving, serene. ?And this brings us to our third subject, though related: we received a visitor from our close neighboring pack Olympus. They have recently moved into Emerald Valley and The Dancefloor Of The Gods. Natalya Olympus came to the borders not even half an hour ago, to ask about an Alliance. As an alliance between Olympus and Glaciem is unlikely, I have accepted, and Natalya is welcome to this gathering as a guest. We want to make a fine impression, so be as you have always been. Treat her as you would a packmate. The Alliance will be either accepted or rejected by her Empress, Virgil Olympus, upon her meeting with her.?

Her eyes flicked to the five Epsilons, Odette, Lyric, Ravine, Tyr, and Guinevere. With a smile, she announced, ?We have five new rankings to celebrate. Odette will be joining the higher ranks as a Gamma, and training under Chrysanthe for fighting, Friction for Healing, and Eria for Hunting. Lyric will be joining the higher ranks as an Eta, and I will be training her in healing, Sarak, will be training her in hunting, and Chrysanthe will also be training her to fight. Tyr will also be joining the Etas, with Imena training him in Healing, Eria training him in hunting, and my brother Cormalin, in fighting. Guinevere will also be joining the Etas, training under Themisto for healing, Arwel for hunting, and Gael for fighting. Lastly, Ravine will be joining the higher ranks as a Sigma, training under Ashtoreth for hunting Imena for healing, and Alsander for Fighting. Train hard and daily. I know you will make me proud to know you as Valhallans. While those I have chosen for you will take up most of your training, the whole pack will be involved, sharing what they know, so don?t be afraid or too proud to ask for advice or help.?

She put a gentle emphasis on the bit about pride, emphasizing that too much pride to take help when you needed it would be frowned upon. Then her head turned and she smiled at her eldest born daughter and Beta Primary, before speaking out to the pack again. ?The Betas, Surreal and Sephiroth, will begin holding group battle training soon, and will be meeting with the Digammas, Caerul and Alsander, to set them up. I expect these training sessions to happen weekly, and that in between training sessions, you all train your bodies. There are hills and mountains aplenty to practice balance and muscle toning on. Bring a partner or friend along in case of emergencies. I will be dropping in on training sessions often to see how we are progressing.

?Ashtoreth and Sarak our Psis Primary and Secondary, will be holding regular pack hunts, as well as regular hunting between themselves and the Sigmas. For the Pack hunts, I expect every able bodied member to pitch in and help bring down prey. Healers meetings will be happening often as well. I will come in to those now and then, and any who wish to join in are to be welcomed as well. Learning all three skills is expected in Valhalla. Even if you aren?t the best at it, you should at least learn the basics.?
Lastly, her eyes flicked between Ashtoreth and Leon.

?And finally, I would like Ashtoreth and Leon to come up here with me.? Erani would rise from where her haunches had lowered themselves during her announcements, stepping back a few paces to allow room for the two wolves. Once they had come to sit upon the rock, Erani would gaze between the two. Then spoke. As I said before the move, I wished to hold a Mating Ceremony for the two of you. That time has come.? Deep blue pools locked with Leon?s Adravendi blue eyes. ?Do you, Leon Adravendi, promise to never leave your Lady?s side, to provide for her when she is ill, to protect her when she is weak, and run beside her always when she is strong? Do you Promise to help her stand again when she falls? From this night forth, so long as you both shall live?? When he answered yes or no, that deep sapphire gaze rested on Ashtoreth?s amethyst and gold eyes, locking gently with them.

?And do you, Ashtoreth, Promise to never leave Your Mate?s side, to provide for him when he is ill, to protect him when he is weak, and to run beside him always when he is strong? Do you promise to help him stand again when he falls, from this night forth, so long as you both shall live?? As she waited for the answer, she gazed out at the pack with a soft smile. And she hoped she was doing her late mentor proud.

Natalya Olympus

Finally the ebony woman would make her appearance, just in time to hear Erani speak. She had taken a few moments to herself after their very recent meeting, time to eat and to inform her husband of her whereabouts. She was impressed by the size of the pack as she made her way toward the front and settled somewhere the alphess would easily spot her - not that the melanistic wolf was hard to pick out of a crowd. As Erani spoke, Natalya wondered idly about the pack Ludicael that she mentioned, as well as found herself impressed by the amount of information she shared with the pack and by the wedding proceedings. Natalya would likely be a quiet bystander in these festivities, though she did hope to see the Valhallan Arwel, whom she had recently sparred.

Alpine watched as a long list of wolves each made their way to a seat before the alabaster queen. He had not realised that Valhalla was quite so enormous, he knew it stretched across three terratories but even so the size of them amazed him. There was, however only one wolf who his eyes saught out against the constant stream of moving and settling bodies. He almost didn't catch sight of her approch against the bulk of other wolves, but how could he miss those dancing eyes that swirled in colours to the likes of which he had never seen before. He watched her graceful stride before him, this beautiful wolf who sang to his heart. It was for her that he had made his home in this pack, for her that he had found his way here and for her his eyes had saught of all the wolves that streamed towards this meeting.

?Lyric?
He whispered softly, concious also of the meeting about to start even as he spoke. She settled down beside him and he could feel the warmth of her coat brush against his. There was suddenly far to many wolves around them, to much murmer of voices and warmth of bodies. He looked at this pretty princess before him and wished they where alone.

?I came here shortly after our meeting. You gave it such a good recommendation I couldn't resist?
He teased her gently, flicking her lightly with his tail in a gesture of warmth before settling his attention on Erani who had begun to speak. He caught his name in the large group of newcomers and realised that was probably why he had not realised the pack to be so large ? It sounded like half of them where new. She spoke of birth's and life and marrage, love and family and happiness and he listened in amazment at all the things she had paid attention to in her pack and realised just how much she cared for her wolves. It was no wonder this was a large and thriving pack beneath such a loving leader. He smiled at her warmly and as he watched her and understood what it meant to be a true leader to your pack.

Imena

And so the mass gathering of the pack would start. First her Family she had come to know and be somewhat very close to. Seeing Cormalian among them once more made her smile. He was a good wolf and Valhalla should be blessed to have a wolf like him among them. And then more came, distracting her as her eyes scanned the large crowd of unfamiliar faces. What had become of the old Valhalla pack members? She sighed softly but perked up slightly as a dull brown Nomad with white markings laid near her. The two of them shared a moment of silent greetings. When the male Flamesong spoke to her she would dip her head to the young girl.

As the gathering continued Imena could not help the sag in her shoulders as others mingled and she was left to sit around. Her sky blue eyes scanned for anyone who might join her, but no one approached. She scooted back towards the shadows, letting them cloak her, only her eyes really being visible. Erani started the meeting and it was a lot to take in. Imena had two wolves to train, two names to remember and keep tabs on. She knew Tyr briefly and Ravine had been in and out of the pack enough for her to know him. And then the wedding. Hearing was like a hit to her gut. Silently she began to dry heave, but turning her back away so no one saw her. It wasn't that she was against them for falling in love and all. But her own "wedding" had been a nightmare. An ache in her chest throbbed so painfully she winced from it and curled in on herself. As soon as she could she would slip away into the shadows and back to her den.

The meeting had progressed as Erani started to speak. News of alliances with Ebony and Ludicael were set in stone and Olympus was also being added to the list. It made Odette's heart swell that such a thing was happening for Valhalla. Six months ago, the pack had been in a deep depression with the war against Glaciem and then moving to the island. So much discomfort and stress had been placed upon the members and now everything was bright and sunny. Odette didn't know how long it would be until another major event happened like this, so she milked it for all it was worth.
Odette could feel the energy from her Alpha Primary. She was very proud of how things were going with Valhalla and it was evident in how she spoke of the new ranks her Epsilons would be attaining. When the Gargoyle mini-me heard her new rank would be Gamma, Odette couldn't help but squeal. She was going to be a GAMMA! A soldier who would defend her pack and fight for their freedom and rights. It was all so patriotic, and she would also be training with Chrysanthe! More quality time with her mother was EXACTLY what she wanted. How in the world did Erani know?!
She also heard that she would be practicing healing and hunting as well. Being well-rounded was something she wouldn't have a problem with. The news continued and finally, the wedding began. Leon and Ashtoreth were asked to approach the boulder and Odette watched with fascination. She wondered if she would have a ceremony like that when she was older. A set of violet eyes and a dark purple face appeared in her mind and she immediately shook her head. It was weird, but the imprint lasted on her brain as she tried to ponder why she imagined his face.
Odette then felt a sudden change in the crowd. She turned her head and saw Imena disappear from the group. The yearling turned back, nuzzled Chrysanthe, and then padded in the direction of the Theta Primary. Curiosity always got the best of Odette, but her concern for the female was definitely a priority, too. In no time, she caught up with the dark-furred female and softly stopped next to her. Lowering her head to her right shoulder, Odette nudged Imena and gently said, "Imena...are you okay? Please, tell me what's wrong." A part of her wanted to go back to the wedding, but she knew that her cousin's wellbeing was more important.

There was far too many wolves and far to much going on for Shilah to keep focus. His mind drifted to his herbal stock piles and the herbs he still needed to gather before the coming of autumn. It had been a long process but he'd learned a lot more about storing herbs than he had previously as well as the general lay of plant life in Valhalla. It was hard to believed he'd have been a pack wolf for almost a full season.

Shilah smiled, nodded and adding his brief congratulations to the mated couple. He was anxious to get back to work and the size of the gathering had made him uneasy. It was strange to go from being a lone wolf to having thirty or so pack mates. He filed away the information he learned. Of Glaciem and of their new allies. As far as he knew he'd not met a Glaciem wolf and hopefully he would never have to. He waited to make sure there was nothing else to be said before quietly slipping away.

Walk | Talk | Think

Ash was comfortable beside Leon as she awaited the meeting to start, and was silent when it finally began. Erani began by naming all those who had been added to their ranks since their move - a considerable amount that the Psi was hoping would add to their Sigma ranks since they did need new hunters - as well as a few that were simply returning to them. These she was most excited for. Familiar faces were always nice, particularly with how Valhalla had been mostly run like a family-pack from the beginning. It was nice for everyone to regroup together again after any kind of separation.

Packs had been visited, alliances forged, and even an emissary had been sent by one of their new friends. Curiously Ashtoreth's gold and purple eyes roved across the gathered in search of this stranger from another pack, wondering who they were and what their home was like and how different life there was compared to here in Valhalla. And then new additions to the higher ranks were introduced, one of which Ash was excited to recognize. A grin stretched across her face as she heard the name of Thane's son spoken aloud, her eyes immediately moving to seek him out of the crowd. Go figure the child would follow in his father's footsteps, traveling the same route of a hunter. He'd be so proud.

A few hunts were ordered, to which the Psi nodded her head in understanding, before the mood of the meeting changed as well as its direction. She was called forward, along with Leon, and a confused glance was cast his way before she obeyed. Uncertainly her paws carried her from the group up to the rock upon which Erani sat, taking a seat there herself. Erani explained and just as realization came flooding over her so did embarrassment. Goodness, in front of all of Valhalla! Could they have had a more public setting for this? Ash breathed in deeply, doing her best not to look as flushed and flustered as she felt Erani went through the vows with Leon. Before she knew it was her turn, and everything was repeated, and when it came time for her to speak, after she had actually listened to what was said, the answer came easily. "Yes," she answered quietly, casting a sidelong smile toward the wolf seated beside her.
