She bites back a yowl as sharp claws slash at her groin. So her words had landed her mark and now her teeth would as well. Calliope wants a moment to laugh at the poor creature for getting so heated over empty words, but she can't. No, she has to focus on the fight and pummeling this little bitch into the dirt.

Ignoring the sharp slicing pain radiating along her leg as she continues to snap at Satira in hopes of grabbing the wolf-dog once more, her eyes dart to the ground where the mutt cowers. Calliope bristles, shoulders hunched and ears flattened as she keeps close proximity with Satira. "Awe, poor lil' kitty all pissed off, huh?" Calliope sneers back, her lips pulling up to reveal teeth that continue to clack together and snap in Satira's general direction.

What sucks for Calliope is that Satira is so tiny and slipping underneath her is far too easy. She curls in on herself as the wolf-dog jumps up to slice at her belly. "Ya cunt, the fuck you doing!" Calliope gripes, a thunderous growl releasing from her as she tries to escape the flurry of swipes. Reaching low and fast, Calliope aims to grab ahold of Satira's back leg and yank her out from under her.

The sun is just cresting the horizon when a summons to battle rings through Obscura and the small, sleeping man lets out a loud groan. Peeling open tired eyes, he rapidly blinks away the cobwebs in his mind as he stands and shakes out the crazy patches of fur that always seem to stick out at odd angles right after he wakes up. With a huge yawn and long stretch, Strix grumbles to himself as he pushes his way out into dawn’s early light where he pauses to gather the remaining parts of his wit.

It seems that raiders were always attacking at either the butt crack of dawn or in the dead of night which, is a sound tactic, but frustrating as hell to those who are trying to sleep. Grumbling under his breath, he takes off for the borders where the opponents have gathered. Strix is a little late to the party and there are already fights wrapping up as he is just diving into the fray. Eyes scan for an opponent and land on a taller, blue-coated man who he quickly charges for.

Attempting to use the element of surprise, the much shorter man runs up toward the taller man and aims an attack at one of their front ankles while trying to keep his momentum going so he can (hopefully) use his smaller size and speed to his advantage. For Strix, the sooner these fights are over, the sooner he can get back to bed!

He didn't take his attention off of his calico opponent, but the screech of a bird and a flash of brightly colored feathers told him his plan was going to have a bit of interruption. Even though he didn't want both of his dogs distracted by this man's parrot, he couldn't blame Mezzo for immediately jumping into the action and leaping up into the air to try and knock away the parrot that was going for her brother. With his companions locked in a fight with his opponent's own companion it left him and the Raider to their own devices. The man wasted no time swinging his sword toward him and Morendo immediately ducked down to avoid it, the blade whizzing by over his head. He felt a tug against his armor as the blade caught on the snow leopard collar that was draped around his shoulders and he wasn't sure what he was more offended by–that the man had tried to scar his handsome face or that he damaged his armor in the process. With a growl, Morendo took advantage of this lowered position he found himself in to try to lunge forward as he turned his head, aiming to latch his jaws around the man's throat. He knew his armor would guard him from the worst of the blows to his torso if the man tried to swing at him again, but this at least kept his head out of reach of the blade as long as he kept under his neck like this.

As Sparrow looked off through the chaos, a tiny little thing attacked her belly, biting into left belly and gripping on with tiny hands, "Ah, fuck, a raccoon!" Sparrow thrashed a little, spinning around to see the little creature. It had... stripes? "Okay, maybe a skunk, I'm not sure," she corrected, spinning herself like a bronco to try to fling the thing off. Was this a part of the raid, or was this thing rabid? "Is this thing rabid?" she said, voicing her thoughts. Well, fuck it either way. Sparrow spun around as if chasing her tail, trying to grab and scruff the creature so she could pull it off of herself and punt it across the battlefield.

Inferno's gaze continued to sweep the area around her, never resting, until they hit on a vaguely familiar form, one not seen for years. She stopped dead, eyes widening only slightly. Was that...? She tore her eyes away, mind whirling. She'd only just been wondering where her family went off to, and now... But she was given no time to agonize over the surprise appearance of one of her long-gone litter mates before a shape hurtled towards her and she had to stop dead again and barely brace herself against a hefty shoulder throw. Inferno skidded, barely keeping her feet but not her breath, and she was left gasping as she slashed instinctively with her fangs for the back of her black and gray attacker's neck.

Revenant’s charge was successful and his blow landed, the two wolves pushing against one another’s strengths as he knocked the air from the invading woman’s lungs. It was a satisfying rush of adrenaline and it fueled him and spurred him on! In their close proximity, Revenant did not have much room to maneuver or avoid an attack, so the sharp sting of the woman’s mutated fangs in the back of his neck made him flinch and yelp. Shit, that smarts!

Gritting his teeth against the grappling jaws of his opponent, Revenant surged forward with open jaws aiming to clamp down on the tender skin where neck met shoulder, seeking to grapple the fae in a pressure point and force her down to the ground.

Kestrel wasn’t left waiting long before one of the Obscura wolves zeroed in on him. This must have been the runt of his litter, because he was a small thing among giants. A good ten inches or so shorter than the blue pirate. The black and silver wolf was launching at his ankles, and when Kes saw what he was aiming for he pushed himself forward. Shoving his legs forward in the hopes of knocking them off their stride and using their forward momentum against them.

He knew in doing so he was giving the wolf a shot at his target, and had to hope their bite wasn’t sharp enough to hit bone.

"Speech"

With the dogs occupied, Calico Jack is able to focus fully on the monochrome man and he begins swinging his cutlass in deliberate, practiced arches. Icy blue eyes are sharp with excitement as he presses forward, noticing the way man seems perturbed when his sword snags the snow leopard collar. For a brief moment, the calico man wonders if the stranger has ever actually fought in a battle with stakes.

Brows quirk upward as a taunting grin tugs at his lips as the man lunges under his blade, aiming for his throat and Jack is quick to react. Paws suddenly press into the ground, pushing him sideways so he can avoid the worst of the attack and while, his does not latch completely onto his throat, the stranger does manage to take out a small chunk of flesh.

The coppery scent of blood fills his nostrils and a deep snarl is released from Calico Jack’s throat. Something shifts in the air and the calico hued male redoubles his efforts and begins trying to stab the stranger with his sword. His movements are chaotic, wild but, underneath it all, there is power and purpose. All care is abandoned as he seeks to leave a mark on the monochrome man’s hide.

As for where, well, he doesn’t really care anymore.

"Calico Jack"

While Strix is the smallest one of his litter, the much shorter man has learned how to use speed, agility, and outright ferocity to his advantage. Plus, growing up with five bigger (literally) brothers had a way of helping him anticipate what taller wolves might do in fights; so, when the slate and gray male shoves his legs forward, the slighter male rolls with it. Paws kick up dirt as he skids to slow his momentum while he strikes out at the unprotected ankle.

Teeth find purchase and he bites with the all the strength he has, a growl rolling past his bloodied lips as he hangs on for a moment and uses that hold to stop the rest of his momentum. Releasing the ankle, Strix shifts, paws planting for a moment as his muscles coil before being released and he leaps up toward the stranger’s face. Teeth flash in the dawning light as he attempts to bite at the stranger’s face wherever he can.

It is reckless but the cloudy gray and black male doesn’t care; he just wants go back to bed!

She twisted her upper body slightly away, taking his bite on her shoulder for her pains that made her grunt in pain. She snapped her jaws for the side of her opponent's neck this time, simultaneously seeking to rake one set of her steel claws down the front of his chest, using the momentum of twisting back towards him to try to hit harder.

His opponent is quick to run off as Scald lands one more bite to his rear leg. Pleased that he had bested at least one wolf, he takes a breath and recollects himself before looking around. There was a lot of commotion and a lot of action, but so far it appeared they were doing far better than Obscura. This would be good news to take back to the Raid King and Queen. Scald is about ready to sneak off again when he notices a red and black fella with horns toss his brother, Kenway, from his barrel and into the dirt. His brow furrows, annoyed that the wolf had the audacity to do such a thing. Quickly changing his direction, Scald runs at Cerberus with long strides that easily cover the distance. Leaping over the fallen Kenway, Scald launches himself at Cerberus. Aiming to grab ahold of the man's twisting horns, he hopes to be able to use his force and momentum from the air attack to shove him to the ground. Scald Fallen

Soon Cerberus was victorious over his last opponent, nothing worth mentioning though. No big blood lust, no harsh feelings. But it was a rush of adrenaline he hadn't experienced before. The win of a fight sure, not the win of a raid to defend his pack though. That was new.

He was not expecting the quick attack from a revengeful brother, but he wasn't caught so easily off guard. Not in the midst of the raid, he knew he had to be on his toes. Scald took a grasp by his horns, surely throwing him off balance but he could fight it off for the moment. Getting his spine back even and not backwards anymore, he'd move to twist his head around back and forth for the man to relinquish his hold. He knew from the hunt of horned sheep that holding by the horns wasn't the best way to take control, but if he had just the right hold and just the right strength, then Cerberus would come to his downfall. Time would soon tell who came out over the other.

When he felt the smaller wolf bite down on his ankle, he attempted to use it to drag the other wolf in, hoping to bring him in within the reach of his power. From there, he would attempt to grapple the smaller wolf, so that he could use his superior height and weight against the other. All around him, he could hear the fights as they raged on. He couldn’t spare a moment to see who was winning. Obscura, or the Raiders Hallow?

At least he knew the Raiders had good healers. He would likely need them for his ankle when this fight was over. Already he was feeling the pain from the wound the other wolf had dug into it.
