their hit lands, and Spider feels a momentary burst of triumph before the man’s teeth bear down on them, piercing their skin as he peels them away in one fierce bite. pain cuts a blazing path through their flesh, radiating from the initial bite and spreading outward in tremulous ripples. tears springing to their eyes, they bite off a cry and struggle furiously as his paws encircle them, slinging them to the ground. their heart is in their ears, a mix of anger and incredulity lighting up their gaze. snarling, their forepaws attempt to churn up the man’s underbelly, utilising their hind claws to try to shift his weight and knock him aside. the move contains a viciousness their precious spar had been void of, a real anger at their opponent that can be read easily from their striped face.

Hazel is quick to disengage from her first opponent, taking the win with a graceful dip of her muzzle. Right, there's no reason to rub it in. It was all in good fun, and she's quick to bounce off in the direction of her next fight. Bright gaze flicking across opponents, Hazel settles on the spotted woman that's just bested one of the young princes.

Squaring her shoulders to the woman and charging in her direction, Hazel dives in head on. Fights like this were good fun, after all. She's careful to keep her guard up over her typically weaker, left side. Practiced movements, she'd like to send herself crashing into the other woman. Tail wagging, eyes bright. Fighting was her favorite, after all.

It seemed as though her fight was barely over before another wolf was rushing at her. In real battle, this was to be expected. There was barely a moment to breathe in between strikes sometimes. This was one of those times.

As the Armada wolf rushed towards her, Ochi sidestepped to her right just in time for only their shoulders to glance off of one another rather than a full impact. The black and white fae's maw was already parted, the back of her opponent's neck being the target.

As she twists, the General continues the momentum. Trying to throw her weight into her opponent, crystalline teeth flashing as she strikes out. Wild. The threat of a good chomp is mostly a diversion, as what Hazel really wants is to bring her opponent to the ground beneath her. Enjoying herself, enjoying the fight, and enjoying the raid as it roared around her.

The earthen male is subdued and Andy gives a huge smile while her tail sweeps the air and she is quick to releases him and retreats backward while saying, “Good try! If you ever want a rematch, you know where to find me.” With a bob of her head, she turns her attention back to the battlefield, scanning the area and noting the fights that ending and starting. Heart pounds in her chest with excited and the smile that is her lips does not leave as she watches.

As she observes the fights, a huge, maned male catches her attention and the young woman gracefully crosses the open land between them just as he sends Bronze packing. Without a word, she squaring up across from him and beams a smile his way. Finally, Andy says, “Very nicely done. Are you ready for the next round?” Eyebrow quirk upward as the smile continues to wiggle her lips and her defenses are effortlessly set as she waits to hear his response before officially kicking off the fight.

The stranger is taller than her with bear pelted armor, spiked, and saber fangs so the lavender woman quickly adjusts her tactics to compensate for them. Head lowers and Andy tucks her chin presenting her thorn covered horns to the man before she suddenly charges forward. As she closes the distance, she releases two sharp whistles, summoning her snow leopard companions, who metalize from the shadows, rushing in toward the maned wolf from either side.

They seek to distract the male and put him off balance by harassing him with swipes, their claws seethed as their fat paws aim to hit anything they can. Meanwhile, Andy closes the distance that separates them and seeks to try and slam her spiked horns into the man’s chest in an attempt to bowl the taller opponent over.

"Andromeda Fatalis"

Gossamer seized victory from her elder sister and she grinned as the outcome became clear. This moment meant a lot to her, it felt like completing a long term goal but the raid wasn't over yet and she didn't have time to sit still and chat. Two more Armada wolves fell to their opponents and she quickly darted toward the red-pelted woman. Gossy's ears pinned to her head, tail tucked, as her hackles raised. She didn't bother rolling her shoulders forward for as she approached the woman's right side she sought to throw her right shoulder into the woman's abdomen, into the softer flesh between the ribcage and hind legs. At the same time her fangs sought for the woman's back, hoping to gain hold just in the small of the back.

His fight with the blue-hued male ended before it had really begun, overpowering the male and shoving him back. He watched the Armada male surrender and that freed him up to look for another opponent. He didn't have to look very far as a purplish wolf with curling horns approached and squared up with him almost immediately, asking if he was ready for another round. She appeared to be younger than him and notably shorter than he was, but she held herself with a confidence that said she was very comfortable on the battlefield. He returned her grin with one of his own as he recentered his stance and his defenses. "Absolutely. That was barely a warmup," he replied with a chuckle as he braced himself for her first attack.

He spared the snow leopards that she summoned a brief glance as she started to charge toward him with her head lowered and thorn-wrapped horns tipped to the be first thing that made contact with him. He felt a shift on his back as Pan emerged from the thick fur of his mane, the pangolin leaping from his back toward one of the felines and curling into a ball at the last second so his scaled body would be the part of him that would make impact with the leopard's nose, knocking her companion away from him like a living dodgeball. Bream swooped down from where he was circling above him as well to target the second snow leopard, the osprey's talons gripping the feline's scruff as if he was grabbing a fish from water and using that grip to at least briefly distract and pull the companion away from Arc.

Meanwhile, Arcturus braced himself with his hind legs firmly planted, letting the Armada wolf run right at him and taking the full impact of her weaponized head butt since he knew that his armor and the heavy layer of fur in his mane would absorb the worst of the damage those thorns might have caused. As expected he felt a few slight picks of the thorns poking through his mane and he made a soft "ooof" as she rammed into him and knocked the air out of him slightly, making a light bruise bloom across his chest. This put her exactly where he wanted her though and he quickly lifted his right foreleg to try and hook it across her shoulders, wanting to get a grip around the back of her neck to keep her from backing away and hooking his claws around the edge of her leather armor to give himself better leverage. With her horns so close to his neck and face he knew he had to do something to keep them from swinging at him so he turned his head to the right enough to try and grab her left horn between his teeth to grapple it. He aimed for a portion of her horn between the wrapping of thorns, but with his fangs to help with his grip he'd still be able to grip her horn with minimal stabbing of his gums or the roof of his mouth.

Ciná and only just shoved away from the earthen hued male and sent him packing when he caught a bit of movement out of the corner of his eye and Tine alerted him to another opponent coming in hot. He spun to face the monochromatic woman just in time to intercept her attack. She had clearly been aiming for his side, but with his movement her shoulder ended up striking into his shoulder instead, making a clash that made him wince and told him it was sure to bruise, and caused her teeth to graze his scruff. He quickly leaned into her attack, shoving forward where their shoulders had already connected to try and push her back as he gripped his claws into the ground to give himself more leverage. Their heights were slightly more similar than his last opponent had been and they seemed to be on a more even playing field when it came to build. On one hand that meant that he wouldn't have to worry about a smaller opponent that might try to get under him, but on the other it felt more likely that he might end up in a stalemate trying to push her like this unless he did something else to throw her off balance. In hopes of doing just that, Ciná attempted to hook his right forepaw around her left ankle, trying to move quickly to pull the paw out from under her before she had a chance to lift her paw out of the way or shift her balance.

Hold up, her opponent was a man! Apparently Gossamer had girls on the brain. Between thoughts of Dagrún and Lia floating around in her head she'd some how miscalculated with her opponent. Oh well, it didn't affect her attack strategy as she had no intention of biting any balls this go around. The man turned to face her and they collided, shoulder to shoulder. Her fangs grazed his scruff but she quickly abandoned the attack in a bid for a more vicious one. Gossamer threw her toward the man's face, seeking to tag his cheek and cut flesh without doing any major damage. At the same time she felt his paw behind her left ankle, trying to pull it forward. She let the movement happen, easily shifting her weight to the other three legs as she kicked out with her lifted left paw, seeking to throw it over his neck in a bid to keep his head in range.

The fight with this Armada woman moved fast and certainly without pulling any punches which he very much appreciated. It had been far too long since he fought with anyone that really felt like a challenge. As they collided he felt her teeth graze his scruff, but she only paused there for a moment before she shifted her trajectory and before he knew it he had her long fangs slicing across his cheek, making him recoil slightly with a growl at the sting from the cuts she left behind. His attempt to pull her paw out from under her did basically nothing and instead when she lifted her paw he felt that same leg loop over the back of his neck, keeping him from being able to pull away from her. Well, if he can't topple her by throwing off her balance alone he was just going to have to go to some more drastic measures! With her foreleg over top of him, he dropped his head down low suddenly, bending his legs to give him some more mobility and lower his frame a bit, and then lunged forward to try and slip under her chest to almost get her upper torso draped across his shoulders. He wanted to push her up and over onto her side. She wasn't terribly smaller than he was, but he hoped that his few extra inches of height would be enough that when he stood back to his full height it would keep her from being able to put her own paws back on the ground firmly and finally knock her off balance enough to get the upper hand.

What a thrill! It had been far too long since Satira had a proper fight, and the larger boy had not disappointed! As she rushed beneath Charlton, her opponent began to topple forward on purpose, trying to trap her beneath him. With her claws dug into his underbelly, she kicked off of Charlie's side and flung herself out from underneath the larger brute at the last moment, her quick thinking and reflexes saving her hide as Charlton ate the dirt. Landing with grace on her paws, Satira wore a proud smile of triumph; victory tasted so sweet! "Better luck next time!" she called back to her fallen opponent before rushing back into the fray.

With so many of the fights now concluded and the raid winding down, Tira was left with little option to pick from for a round two. Actually, she was only left with one option really. That option came in the form of the massive, hulking brute clothed in dark fur from tip to tail. The little wolf-dog gawked up at the massive wolf, jaw slack in awe that such a huge wolf could even exist! "Oh wow, you're a big'un, aren'tcha?" Awe turning to determination, Satira prepared for a true David and Goliath fight as she hurled herself at Basilisk, aiming to use her speed and agility to dive beneath him and repeat her techniques she'd used on Charlton: get beneath the bigger wolf where he couldn't get her so easily and make mincemeat of that soft underbelly, attempting to rush beneath him and lunge for his belly with feline claws extended for his flesh and fur.

Basilisk waited for his chance to fight, giving those around him a chance to find opponents. He did raise a brow when his Grandfather lost, but the wolf was getting on in years. He was determined to do a better showing, so he was a little surprised that when it came time for him to fight, he was looking down. Down… down.

As she came at him, he pivated to face her, and keep her in front of him. Not wanting the very tiny wolf where he couldn’t see her, getting into who knows what kind of mischief. He had some important parts down below after all. “Lose half your height in a terrible accident?” He asked dryly.

As he turned he also moved his right front paw forward, attempting to cuff the smaller wolf.

Despite his towering size, the brute wasn’t unobservant enough to miss her diminutive size as she rushed towards him, trying her best imitation of a ninja as she could. He was sharp, and oh, he had jokes too! Well, Tira had a bit too much of her mother in her to let that quip go unanswered. A giant paw swung at her, trying to clip her mid-stride, but Tira kicked off the ground and dove sideways, legs kicked out in an awesome action slide. "I don’t need to compensate with height to be awesome," she rebuked with a cheeky grin, righting herself and zipping away to the monstrous wolf’s right side. Tiny paws raced along the grassy ground to take a second attempt at getting underneath the giant, aiming teeth and claws to sink into thigh or belly or any part she could feasibly jump up and reach. Tira wasn’t picky when it came to a fight.

She was determined to get under him and while at first he attempted to stomp around, he quickly realised that she was much quicker then his giant paws, and he was going to expend a lot of energy just trying to catch her.

Instead, he let himself fall to the ground as quickly as he was able, hoping to catch the tiny creature under his bulk. If he managed it, he’d have to hope he could return her to Kotori in the same condition he found her…
