Walk | Talk | Think

At last the weather over Valhalla had taken a turn for the better, and seeing a moment to run and get away she had taken it without hesitation. A hunt could be done later with Thane and the rest for large game to replenish the depleted stores of food that had been lowered during the incessant downpour, but for now she was going to take a small but well needed vacation outside of the boundaries.

What had driven her here of all places was lost to her. Her paws had wandered aimlessly at first, driven simply by the need to move, her legs to be stretched, and to feel the distance slip away and behind her under her small paws. It had felt good to feel the wind as it whipped through her fur and brushed at her sides, now fully dry and lightly grey as they should have been. No rain, no mist, no hint of a sprinkle on the air, though the clouds had blocked out the sun for a majority of the skies. Still, slivers of sunlight managed to peek through, touching the earth in large, oddly shaped dapples that roamed and altered form as the winds continued to pull and tug and turn the clouds along on their path. And still Ashtoreth ran.

Not until the scenery became familiar did she slow her step. Her sprint fell away into a lope, and then a trot, and eventually into a walk as she breathed deeply, tongue lolling, in an attempt at catching her breath. Her brow fell over her gold and purple eyes as she turned her head this way and that, surveying the land and feeling an uncanny notion that she had been here before. A second longer and the answer came upon her so suddenly that she stopped in her tracks and pointedly looked around once more. This is it. This where I found Leon. Gaining her bearings, she padded off to her right and ahead, listening closely, and was rewarded when before her opened up a steady and shallow stream, the self same one that she had fallen into when she had arrived here and began the struggle of returning home with Leon for company and support.

Standing upon the edge of that stream, thinking about those early days, she couldn't help but smile. They had been difficult, without a doubt, but they had brought her closer to the Lead Warrior of her pack, revealed to her so much about his character that she had grown and was still growing to admire. And that returning here, to where those memories of that exhausting and arduous journey had taken her, could bring nothing but a smile to her face and laughter to her heart only attested more greatly to her growing feelings for the male that she had yet to acknowledge or accept.

Shaking her head gently, trying to drive away the thoughts of the wolf without success, she turned and began walking alongside the stream at a leisurely gait, letting the wind rustle her fur against the grain while she stretched her legs and enjoyed the familiar scenery.

Happily Calantha walked through the plains. She didn't realy want to go on an adventure today but I guess everyday is an adventure for her, merely just to see where life takes her.Lately her flashes had been happening regulary and they had been making her feeling down, so she has been keeping her distance from other to make sure that she wouldn't be upsetting anyone. She held her head low and walked slowly. She honestly wasn't in the mood to be meeting anyone, but then of course she smelt the scent of another. She decided to just leave them and walk in the opposite direction, but as she moved further away she thought aybe it would be a good idea to go and see them. They might be somone who could help me with my flashes and distract me from those thoughts. So she turned and headed forwards towards where the faint scent was coming from. She took a deep breath in and relaxed herself. She then lifted her head and began to walk a bit more normally. She still felt sad but she was just going to act happy to this person anyway. The air curled through her nose just as the scent became more distict and it let her knw this stranger was a Female. So on she headed further and further until she reached her.

Walk | Talk | Think

The warmth of the summer air drove the little grey wolf from merely walking beside the stream to walking in it, letting the cool waters swirl and pass around her paws and ankles as she continued to follow its course. Even without the sun shining persistently upon her back, the cloud cover still heavy and no doubt carrying still a little more rain before the west would finally be rid of them, the heat was still there. She could feel it settle over her body, hanging in the air, and was grateful her coat was typically more accustomed to such weather. It made days like this more enjoyable.

She closed her eyes momentarily, giving herself over to the swift yet gentle current of the water in the shallows that she walked through and the winds as they slipped around her body, and as she opened them, peering off to her right and across the other side of the stream, she spotted another trotting through the grasses in her direction, looking like she may have had the intent to join her. Always friendly, always willing to strike up a conversation with a stranger if the moment presented itself and the stranger in question was willing, Ashtoreth wagged her tail in greeting as she continued to walk down the stream's shallow side, hoping the friendly gesture would be seen and taken into consideration as the other approached.

Only when she was close enough to hear did Ash raise her voice in greeting. "Hello," she called as the other drew near and she stopped within the stream, assuming the she-wolf to be out and about for the same sort of reasons that she was. "Enjoying the weather? It's been raining non-stop for a while where I'm from. So glad to finally be rid of it." The wolf's answer hardly mattered so much as whether she would answer at all or not. Hoping for something positive, for at least a little reassurance that her company would tolerate her if nothing else, the little grey wolf awaited the others reply with a smile.
