The sound of fallen snow filled the ears of the brute, he had wondered into non other than the SnowFalls. It was said that those who enter soon found there selves being engulfed by the icy crevices. His eyes scanned the land, some openings could be seen from the naked eye, but Oxia knew that one wrong step he too would be part of the victims that this land had swallowed up. The small cracks of the floor below him made him think that his size, and weight was not such a good think in a place like this. Every step seemed endless, every move he made was taking another risk of being plunged in to his icy grave. The flicker of his ear caught his attention, There was something not right here, and every fiber in his body was telling him to run.

At first he was not that sure as to why he needed to run, but his instincts screamed at him. Run, run, get out of here. They said, but yet he did not move. Tail swayed as eyes opened a bit wider to scan the land for the threat. He was brought here for a reason, and he was not going to leave till that is fulfilled. Oxia's muscles begun to relax as to him he thought it was a fluke on his part. Oh he was wrong, how he was wrong. Ears flung up as the sound of breaking ice filled the air. Was this what his instincts were telling him? Eyes flung open as a huge crevice dashed in his direction. This was not good, and Oxia knew it. He dashed around and begun to fly across that land, His legs pushed and pulled him faster and faster across the icy land of death. His ears pinned to his head keeping tabs on the fast approaching crevice. Was it speeding up on him, he could not tell, but Oxia was not going to slow down to find out. With a massive push of his hind legs he picked up speed, the brute was panting now.

His tongue hung out the side of his mouth, he had pushed him self to run faster than he could. Yet the crevice seemed to be gaining more speed, how was this possible? Oxia looked back to see it was true, it was gaining more speed. The pitter patter of paws upon the ice indicated he was running harder than ever before. As he turned his head his eyes caught the sight of a dormant crevice before him. Oxia knew he had to jump over that beast, taking in a deep breath he pushed off with his hind legs, front legs out stretched along with the hind ones. he was flying over the crevice. He came in for the landing, at first his paws hit the ground perfectly but the ice took control. Oxia soon found him self keeping balance as the icey land carried him across the ground.

It wasn't long before he came to a complete stop. The rise and fall of his chest indicated how hard he was running. Oxia sat down upon the ice, his mouth opened up, and he begun to pant to catch his breath.He knew that it was a close shot, and he could have died. Oxia fell down upon the icey ground and laid on his side still panting. He had not run that fast ever, and he was not sure his body could manage it. His breathing become short and choppy as it seemed that his lungs were trying to hard into getting air. His deep blue eyes were closed as his ears pinned to his head. He was not moving and to the viewer it would seem that he was dead.

Traveling forward Calantha found herself in SnowFalls. She headed east through the SnowFalls towards a large pond that was frozen. As she sat next to it, she could see the water beneath the thin ice waving. The ice was obviously a very thin piece and wasn't safe to walk onto. An extremely loud noise came from further east and it startled her. She swiftly rose to her feet slowly walking backwards not realising the ice was there. Her mind was other things. Things that at the time seemed more important. Wondering what that noise was she took another step backwards, and just as she heard a faint crack she slipped from under her feet and before she knew it she was swimming through ice cold water. Quickly she grasped the edge of the ice with her daggering claws attempting to pull herself out of the near frozen water. She began to feel warm, and she knew this was a side affect of the numbing from the temprature as it flowed through her veins, slowly reaching her haert. She began to feel weak and tired, but she wasn't going to give up. She pulled and pulled until she began to move slowly up. She moved her hind legs over the edge shivering continuesly. She then moved up onto the ice and just curled up into a ball and stayed in the one position trying to warm herself. "Please help me" She mumbled as her lips shivered. She rested her muzzle beneath her dripping wet tail, and prayed someone would hear her.

Breath in, Breath out, In, out, in out. He panted still trying to get his breath, eyes closed ears pinned to his head. It was quiet, you could hear a pin drop two miles away. Oxia's ears perked up, what was that sound, A crack and a splash. Oxia shot up to his paws, There was another here in this land, and the icy lake had claimed a victim. He rose his head to the sky hoping that he would get the scent of the other. He was down wind from where the wolf was, he took in a deep breath in. A female, it was a fea, Oxia let out a howl letting the dame he was coming. Pushing off with his hind legs he dashed for the dame. If she had fallen in that water she would be frozen no time. His legs carried him as fast as they could, the brute was still exhausted from that life dash from the crevice that attacked him.

He was breathing fast, his breath was still gone but he could not leave that dame to die. No! That was not going to happen, not if he could help her. His paws carried him faster, blood begun to seep out of the small wounds that formed from being rubbed raw with friction. Pain shot through his body, 'No, i must help her' He thought. Barring his teeth Oxia kicked it up a notch, he was flying now. Soon the sight of a soken wet dame came into view, she was indeed cold and wet. Oxia came to a slow jog as he came closer to the dame, He saw she was shivering. "It is ok i am going to help you. I am going to lift you on my back. I know a small cave not to far from here." Oxia nuzzled his head under her dripping wet body. Getting her upper body upon his back Oxia took his muzzle and nuzzled the rest of her so she was laying parallel to him on his back.

"Don't worry, you will be fine" He said as he begun to walk. A small blood trail was left behind from his foot steps. Oxia was tired from running, but he could not let this poor dame freeze. His ears were pinned to his head as he forced himself to a light jog. 'Come on you can do it it is only a mile away' Oxia pushed his worn out body harder, it took about a few minutes till they came to a small den/cave thing that was in the side of a crevice. He carried her down in the crevice and walked in the den. Oxia laid her gently down upon the cave floor. He then proceed to lay himself upon the frozen dame. His thick fur and body heat should help her warm up. His breathing was choppy, it was almost a wheeze as he breathed in. He had worked his body to the max limit and was he going to pay for it now. His ears pinned to his head as he laid his head on the dame. His body was gently on top of her as he desperately tired to warm her up. His eyes closed, breathing slowed drastically, Oxia's body was tryign to correct it's self.

Her ears pricked back as the howl of another came from beneath the small bush land. It was long and elegant. Someone was coming for her. She pulled herself tighter into a ball breathe! They are going to help me she thought to herself. As he came closer she realized this was a male. He lifted her from her feet, as she slowly tried to gently lifted her hind legs to atleast help him. Her first glance of the male surely did him justice. His amazing markings throughout the body, was like he had been placed upon this earth from heaven. She allowed him to carry her. His deep voice was soft and made her heart want to burst out of her chest. He was one fine male. The comfort he provided as he held her close was like a sudden warmth not only on the outer of her body but on the inside too. Her heart began to race and she felt as if she was on a different planet. She rolled towards the male and rubbed her muzzle against his chest, showing a sign of appreciation. They had only just met but she felt like she was head of heals for this for him. "thankyou" she quietly said as she moved slightly closer to him. "I'm Calantha"

Oxia's ears pinned to his head as the dame begun to speak. A smile arose upon his maw as she thanked him for saving her, he was glad that she was alright. Oxia's deep blue eyes looked at the female who called her self Calantha. That was a beautiful name and Oxia thought it suited her greatly. Moving off of the female Oxia laid down upon his side on the cave floor. His breath was still a bit gone at this point in time, But his mind was still upon the dame who sat next to him.

He closed his eyes a bit, his ears picked up small movement coming from the dame. Opening his eyes he spoke "I am *breath* glad that you *breath* are ok ma'm" He spoke as he sat up. The souls of his paws were rubbed raw, the pain was tolerable. Oxia licked his paws, only to glance up now and again at the dame to make sure she was still alright.

"My name is Oxia" he spoke. his breath had finally caught up with him and he was no longer speaking in choppy sentences.Oxia was glad that he got to her in time. If he was a bit later who would have known what would have happened to her.

Looking down at his paws she could see he was injured. With a slight shiver of her legs she sat up at looked down at them. Calantha then realized she had left a puddle of cold water where she had just laid. Gently she muzzled the his leg into the water and used it as if it were an ice pack. She grasped some water in her hand and softly poured it over his wounded paw. " this should help. What happened " she asked him kindly. He went by Oxia. She liked this name it suited his appearance rather well. Laying back down next to Oxia she smiled gracefully. She wanted to spend more time with him. Get to know him more and maybe their relationship could go somewhere. he must think I'm crazy, but I love him she thought. Closing her her slowly she rested her head upon his chest and relaxed. She wanted to hold him and never let go. He gave her a feeling that she had never experienced. One that was amazing. Never had she felt this way before. The fast beat of her heart, the warmth throughout her body, she didn't want to ever leave him. Only Oxia could provide this feeling.

This was surely strange in his mind, another being kind to him. he did not mid it not one bit, but most take one look at him and assume that he is mean due to the size of him. His eyes looked down upon the young wolf, who showed as much kindness to him as he did to her. The cool water felt good upon his sore paw, it felt so good that he laid down. Resting his head upon his front legs as she spoke to him about what happened.

Oxia lifted his head a bit "Just before i herd you, i had to out run a crack in the ice that was a mile long. I guess the friction rubbed my paws raw." He spoke as he curled his tail up and around him. Lowering his head Oxia's ears gently pinned to his head. This female was very kind to him, he smiled at her and spoke once more. "Calantha why were you in a place like this in the first place?"He said as he stood up and peeked his head out of the cave. Night had begun to fall, and Oxia knew that going out in this cold would be suicide.

He was hungry and he knew that she probably was hungry also."Would you like some fish, i can easily get some. *he paused* You can come with if you want, but still being a little bit wet it would be best to stay here." He said as he shook the small dirt and snow that was on his pelt. "But i can't force you to do so" he said. Oxia stood there waiting for a response.
