Just Dance
She was bored. And feeling incredibly lonely...she didn't know where her big kitty friend had wandered off to, so she assumed she was left alone without friends all over again. The usual bouncy and happy girl sulked as she walked along, tail half dragging in the dirt as she looked sad. Why couldn't she ever keep any friends? Did they not like her or something? She was a good girl, albeit an excited and energetic one, but good all the same. She sighed as she gazed up at the sky, the colors looked pretty but she couldn't bring herself to enjoy them...she didn't like this feeling. She hated it. She liked having fun and being happy. Not...whatever this was.
As she trailed along again, she noticed a figure not too far from her, a very large figure at that. Ears perked slightly, was it Hyder!? With mild excitement, she loped towards him. But as she got closer, the scent was something and someone she'd never ever met before. Curiosity took hold now as she approached the boy who was obviously alot bigger then she was. "Hi! What's your name?" She inquired with enthusiasm, her tail wagging a little. Maybe he would be her friend? He looked a little sad, so maybe he didn't have friends either? |
A voice shook Ashmedai out of his thought. How long had he zoned out? The sun was still setting, which was good. He turned sharply to look at the wolf, his nose twitching. Loner. Female. After a stunned moment, Ashmedai choked out an answer, "Ashmedai- I'm Ashmedai." The boy pulled back, "Who're you, anyway? If you sneak up on people, they might attack you..." He shot her a sly look, as if he might pounce, but he didn't shift from his seated position. Ashmedai wasn't too full of questions about this female. She was young, brown and white and whatever. She wasn't not pretty, she simply was no Cascade. Ashmedai turned his attention to the sky as the golden hues began to fade into silky purples. Yeah, it was a nice color, Ashmedai decided. His favorite, probably. Maybe he would ask the girl her favorite color...
Ashmedai...hey! They had names that started the same way! But then he got a look on his face and her eyes went wide when he mentioned someone could attack her for sneaking up on them. She didn't sneak did she? She had walked up to him and said hi...okay maybe it was sneaking since she didn't say anything until she was already a couple of feet away from him. But still! "Oh! I'm Ashelia, our names start the same see? Ashe and Ash!"
She waited a moment to see if he would jump on her, if she were any bolder then she already was she'd be prodding him with a stick, but he was so much bigger then her! What if he decided to sit on her? She figured maybe she wouldn't chance it right now, he smelled different then she did, but then again she probably smelled different to him too. Instead, she chose to sit next to him and looked up at the sky, the colors spread out as they changes. "Pretty, isn't it?" She glanced up at him with a smile, tail wagging. |
