calling all angels
We'll be waiting for the rest of our lives Months of travel and what did he find? Woods. With redwood trees. That wasn't very new to him. Raspberry eyes looked around, the huge trees stretched off in either direction for miles it seemed. He was just on the border of the beginning of the forest, trying to decide whether to enter or not. It looked nice, perhaps a nice stroll through the woods would make him feel a little less homesick... For he was so very homesick. A large huff of air blew through his lips, as thin eyelids covered his orbs for a few moments. Coal black nose drew in deep breaths, his multi-colored body was completely still. The air smelled so much like home, that just for a few moments, he could pretend he was back there. But no. That would never happen. He couldn't go back. Eyes flashed open, dark pink eyes holding a hint of sadness as his long legs carried him within the woods, body pressing up against a particularly large tree as he scratched a few itchy areas on his body as well as rubbing his scent all over it. His grey haunches found the ground, long nails kneading into the soft soil beneath him as his eyes continued to roam around him. A companion would be nice.. He didn't want to be alone anymore.

It seemed solitude could never last for the nomadic yearling, her countless days of everlasting pacing had carried her mindlessly to some of the farthest reaches of Alacritis; her body throbbing for rest, her mind demanding for her limbs to sustain. Companionship didn?t always bother her; she supposed it depended solely on the personality she encountered, and as much as the youthful vixen tried to deny herself the close proximities of relationships, there was still a natural crave for such pleasantries in the backdrops of her discoloured mind. It was only natural. Dancing arrays of russet and silver curled pleasantly with the male?s redwood surroundings, the deep brunettes of the forest threatening to absorb the beast into an undetected world of splinter and flora. He seemed somewhat content with his solitude, haunches falling backwards to rest his weight against the moist soil. Gaits ceased, silver-green pools searching for the behemoth?s own; silence hovered between the pair, an aloofness evident within the stance of the tongueless girl.
We'll be waiting for the rest of our lives It seemed he wasn't as alone as he thought. As his raspberry eyes glanced around, they landed on a pretty little girl who seemed to be watching him. Their eyes met, her extremely pale one was quite enticing. Cain could not remember ever seeing such pale eyes. His lips curled up ever so slightly, dipping his head silently as his ears wiggled a tiny bit, perking straight up. His tail wagged lightly behind him, lips parting as he let out a whimper of a greeting. "Hello." Though he was excited to finally be in the presence of another, Cain knew how to control his emotions and so he didn't go screaming and yelling with joy, wasn't hopping up and down for attention. His haunches rose from the ground, feeling somewhat rude to be sitting in the company of a lady.

The male seemed somewhat overwhelmed by the youth?s arrival, duo-toned chassis lifting eagerly from his previously oblivious deportment. Unruly serpent began to batter with stimulation behind his quarters, fanning imaginary royalty, lips quivering and drawling a painfully bland greeting. Skull raised almost cynically, scrupulous gaze picking at the fibres of his multi-hued shell with an unconvinced sense of inquisitiveness. ?Are you always this shamelessly willing to demonstrate your feeble emotions?? vocals crawled free of champagne maw, uninviting in their tone, though far from cruel. There was something irritatingly likeable about this brute, as much as the striking banshee hated to admit her hesitant approval. He was so oblivious to the sinister corners of the world, seeing only what seemed to make him happy. Well done sir, you are well on your way to living a life blinded my false securities. Towers flickered backwards, nostrils quivering as she continued to observe the social creature before her.
We'll be waiting for the rest of our lives The greeting he received was far from what he expected. Here he was, looking at the young she-wolf, ready for a nice little conversation and he got a question, with not a mean tone, but certainly a tad bit rude. Okay.. Two could play at that game. His tail, previously wagging slightly, had come to lay at rest. An eyebrow raised, head cocking to the side. One corner of his mouth curled up into a cocky, half-grin. "Are you always this shamelessly rude when meeting a new wolf?" He matched her tone, though his was a little less rude, throwing a question right back at her. He wasn't all happy smiles and everything like she was thinking. He knew the horrors of life, but he chose (most of the time) not to focus on them. Dwelling in the slums and pits of life, was never a good way to live. Friendly and hardworking seemed to get him as far as he needed to go, and there were always other things that could be thrown in to help him exceed and please others.

The vixen maintained her lack of expression, silver-jade skylights probing the fuchsia depths of the unfamiliar male, swirling vivaciously with the hazard of intoxicating venom. She established a fragile sense of curiosity in his behaviour, though at the same time felt humiliated by his invariable illustration of emotion. Though something seemed to stir; her final words penetrating the overly elated skin of the male, toying with his nerves and encouraging a tremble within his clockwork. As quickly as he had shown his a apparent euphoria, his features morphed into that of surprise and finally the change of wind became evident within the delicate folds of his lips. His words came as quite a blow to the lady, and before she could determined how to take them her corpse robotically began to stiffen; neck mounting upwards, ears compressing against the tapers of her feminine scalp.
A low growl echoed within the chasms of her throat, her displeasure in his weak attempt of smart-assing becoming quickly detectable. ?Would you prefer I soak your intelligence with lies?? she paused momentarily, brow furrowing against her words, ?You should appreciate authenticity, not frown upon it.? It wouldn?t be improbable for the beast to misinterpret her speech, she did after all, seem to perceive the world in a slightly more diverse way in comparison to countless others. Limbs shifted beneath her spine, thick tail batting with a minor irritance between her well-formed hinds.

His expression remained the same, that little tilt of a smile, the cocky look. His eyebrows stayed raised slightly, eyes observing quietly, that ever hint of mystery shining at all times. His tail was still, his legs holding his body up into a full position, holding himself high and mighty. Not because he thought he was better than the female before him, that was how he was taught to carry himself. A soldier must always look his best, stand up like nothing can penetrate him. |
The teen?s brief indication of resentment seemed to subside as quickly as it had fashioned, brunette features softening slightly; encouraged by the beast?s lack of retaliation. The ladies anger was usually fuelled by unsuspecting criticism, insult; if her company didn?t feed off the irritation she exuded, if they calmed and wisely loosened their tongue, the youth would do so also. Did he think she was stupid? The males response was far from thought out, as bland and monotonous as the greeting he had previously presented her. Though she far preferred this surface of him; it made her feel less pressured to assert the astuteness that tapped her mind. ?Eos,? feminine tunes answered his question, though defensiveness was still apparent within the curls of her tongue. She didn?t care to ask of his own calling, she had never found names to her interest. ?Your scent speaks of nothing, do you wander alone?? The lady had developed a new found interest in nomads, the recent desire to stray as far from her pack lands as achievable smouldering powerfully within the smoke-damaged caverns of her ribcage.
