Ookami stood there and listened to him speak about how much eh loved her and that he would be lost with out her or something like that. Her mind went back to when he said he had been looking for three days. Was she really out that long and this baffled her, how did she not wake up during some of those days, did the tornado knock her out that badly, or did the fall cause memory loss. She was not sure about this. Ookami came out of her thoughts and licked Thane's muzzle, she was glad she had him too, and she too could not live with out him.

"I love you too Thane and when we get settled back and back in a pack i would like to try for puppies" She said with a smiled upon her muzzle.

She was not sure as to how he would react to what she had said but she knew it would be a positive thing. Ookami licked his muzzle once more and them walked into the den. She laid down her head rested upon her paws and her tail curled up around her. She closed her eyes and she begun to drift in and out of sleep. The events that had occurred did begun to take a tole on her.

As Thane watched the snow gently fall he relished the feeling of this place, it was surely peaceful to himand he was happy he was here with Ookami.When his beloved replied his white lined ears perked up as he listened to what Ookamihad to say. Hm, puppies he thought. That thought made him happy for he loved those little furballs full of energy that brought life to every pair of wolves he saw.

As Ookami crawled into the den without a word he crawled in after her and lay down beside her keeping her warm.

He looked at her as she rest there so peacefully as the snow fell outside. He nuzzled her head before he whispered to her.

"I would love that Ookami, and anything that makes you happy."

As he himself strted to drift off to sleep he hoped one day he would be like the father he had and hopefully stay around a little longer than his own. With that he fell asleep with a smile on his face and a warm heart even greater than the one he had this morning.

When Ookami woke up it was a bright sunny day and it was warmer than it was last night. She kept warm with Thane next to her and she slept great. Ookami walked out of the den and let out a Yawn and stretched. Her green eyes scanned the iced land and sat down on her haunches, her mind went to Thane and last nite when he said he would love to have puppies. The thought of that made her happy that her tail begun to sway with joy. This was it they would begin there journey to find there home and get things back to the way they were before all this happened.

Her mind went to the thought of puppies and she smiled with the thought of little ones running around her. She would enjoy that very much and her mind was racing with names, she was excited about this but it would be a bit before they could try and she knew that. Ookami wanted to make sure that her puppies would have a safe place to grow up. And a pack is just that, the perfect place to do that. She let out a sigh and gazed up in to the sky, it made life seems perfect and she loved that about the sky, it made days seem better than what there were.

It was not long before morning came again and the brute awoke with a yawn. He crawled out of the den and stretched with another yawn. THane then shook out his fur and started to groom out the pieces of snow that had settle in his dar fur.

"A prince should always look presentable and gallant as always." said a high soothing voice with enough order in it to make an entire pack to do her bidding, and they did.

Thane shook his head with a smile as his mother's lessons still haunted him as well but he couldn't say they weren't useful.

He smiled as he finished grooming out the ice bits and stood up in a gallant pose taking in the sunshine. He then looked over to his beloved with a smile. Oh how he ever so secretly wanted to have a little girl one day. ANothr princess in his life, he thought with a smile. Thane walked over to Ookami and nuzzled her softly as he waited for Cyril to return with word of their direction. Thane also wondered at the same time if he ever did have a little girl, he wondered if he would be able to name her after his deceased sister. There were many new thoughts and many new ideas and his tail silently wagged across the ice for his aqua ble eyes shone with happiness. Perhaps if h had a son that would be great as well, another little soul for himto love and cherish. Right now he did not know of the future for anything could happen, there were numerous possibilities and they would only have to wait until they were both safe and settled.

Ookami saw Thane emerge out of the dent hat they had made the day before, she stood up and walked over to him. She nuzzled his head and sat down upon her haunches as she looked up in the sky trying to see if Cyril was coming back or on his way at least. She lowered her head and smiled at Thane, She felt much better and she loved that this day and how it was not to cold for her it seemed just the right temperature. Ookami looked up at the sky Once more she wondered as to how things were with others from the pack at the moment. She knew that they are most likely ok and what not but it still did not stop her from wondering about them now and again.

Ookami lowered her head, standing up she shook off what snow was on her fur and looked towards Thane. A yawn escaped her maw and she stretched, her head was almost on the ground and front legs out stretched in front of her. Her hind legs pushed her backside up and she let out one more yawn before standing up and giving a smile that she loves to do. She rubbed her side up against Thane and licked his face.

"Ok should we wait here or start off in the direction cyril took off in" She asked as she stood there her tail wagging. Ookami was in a good mood today, maybe it was that she got food in her belly and had a good sleep, or was it that Thane and her had finally found each other again. What ever the cause was for her to be well rested, she was happy that her life was now getting back on track.

As Thane sat in the snow he waited for Cyril to return. He wondered what was keeping his friend the long time. His ear twitched as he stood up and waited a moment. His aqua blue eyes shone in the light as he then raised his muzzle and howled. After he howled he perked up his white lined ears listening for a reply. Off into the distance he heard an eagle screech and he knew it was Cyril. When the bird arrived it came with two mice in its talons.

"I suppose you two would have needed something to set aside your hunger when you woke up." he said

As he landed on Thane's shoulder he dropped the two mice on the ice and began to groom is feathers.

"So, how did you two fare last night, I didn't miss anything did I. I certainly braved the fall of snow as you two were all snuggled up and warm." he said with a smile.

As Cyril waited for their reply he nodded towards his master.

Thane pushed one of themice over to Ookami and he wanted to know what Cyril had to say about what lay ahead but first he would eat.

Ookami watched as Cyril came in to view, he seemed to have gained energy along with both Thane and her self. Sitting down on her haunches Ookami looked over at Thane who had just pushed a mouse in her direction. She looked at Cyril and smiled at the bird, he was a great friend to both Thane and herself.

"Thanks for the mouse Cyril" She spoke as she shook some of the snow off of her paws.

Ookami lowered her head and ate the mouse that was resting there on the ice ground.Once she finished the mouse Ookami licked her maw and stood up she looked at the tow and smiled. Her tail was swaying with delight as she nuzzled Thane.

"Ok are you guys ready to go" She asked as she stood there waiting for a response from one of them. Ookami liked it here but she was not a big fan of the cold, so she wanted to get walking to warm her self up a little bit.

Thane listened to the bird as he spoke once more.

"Further ahead the snow is deep due to the snow last night. You two will have to walk or wade through it. I must say the snow is about a foot or two further down the ways.

Than twitched his white lined ear as he then looked over to Ookami and nuzzled her back.

"If you have any trouble you may always step in my footsteps when th esnow gets to deep."

He wanted to get moving so they woud hopefully reach a forest and then regroup from there while trying to find someone from their pack at least. Thane wondered when this disaster would end with all of the wolves scattered about. He shook his head but was then lucky that he had found Ookami and Cyril found them.HE felt responsible for them in a way so that they didn't get hurt and he was going to bring them safely to wherever they were going.

With the Sun high in the sky they started on their travel to the Stars know where.Cyril flew slightly ahead of them but far enough to see any danger and warn them before they encounter it. Everything was alright so far and he hoped it would last this way.

Ookami looked at Thane and begun to walk after Thane sent Cyril off to look ahead. She let out a sigh and looked at the cold ground that was beginning to freeze her paws. Raising her head she looked at Thane and rubbed up against him with a smile upon her face. She did miss him and she knew that he would never let anything bad happen to her, but she felt like only bad things happen around her, first her family gets killed by a bear, then the storm hit and it put both Thane's and her own life in danger. Her green eyes scanned off into the distance to only see some ice and bushes here and there. The sign of other things than ice sent a smile upon Ookami's maw.

"Thane do you see that!It's Green not ice." She said as her tail begun to sway with joy. She looked over at Thane and continued to walk a little faster she wanted off of this ice it hurt her paws and she wanted nothing to do with it anymore. She knew she would not have liked it in Thane's old home in Russia but if she had to she would deal with it if it meant she would get to be with her beloved once more.

The male started to walk onwards into the oblivion. The snow started to get thick and as he kept on going it rose higher and higher. As the two wolves walked Thane looked over at Ookami and licked her ear before he proceeded HE looked up and saw that Cyril was gliding happily through the sky with elegance and grace. Pawstep by pawstep he troughed through the snow and didn't look back. The wolf remembered the last time he never looked back; shivers went up his spine as he remembered it all to clearly but with a twitch of his ear the thoughts subsided.

Suddenly Ookami cried out about sighting green. There must be foliage ahead. Thane nodded up at Cyril who was looking downat them and the bird sped off towards the land. He wanted to mke sure there was nothing harmful that could endanger the two.

Although the snow was thick the wolf braced the wnsnow and lifted up his limbs higher so he could advance faster. Thane suddenly brok into a jog as he tossed up snow here and there. With his tongue lolling out to the left side and aqua blue eyes full of delight he bounded in and out of the all too familiar snow. His white lined ears were perked up as he went up and down showing excitement as he drew near land. Quickly he tossed up some snow towards Ookami but now too hard,more of a playful gesture. As he did so he let himself fall into the snow and rolled around with a smileof delight.

Ookami smiled and begun to run after him, she was not as fast as he was in the snow but she did managed to pull her body through it. Her legs were raised high with every step to get some speed and distance with every leap. Yes she was more jumping than running in the snow, If you were to look at it you would see a black dot leap out of the snow now and again just to be consumed by the white stuff that flew into the air after every jump she made. Her ears were up and tongue was hanging out of her mouth as she tried to keep up with Thane.

She soon found her self with a face full of snow, a laugh escaped her muzzle as she took her head and flung some snow in Thane's direction. Her tail was up and swaying with delight as she too fell in to the snow. Ookami dug her self under the white stuff and she was soon consumed by the snow. She made ehr way to Thane and jsut a few inches from him she popped out of the snow laughing. A huge bundle of snow was flung in thane's direction. She was laughing even more now.

"Thane i got you" She laughed and licked his muzzle.

Thane troughed through the snow sending up clumps of it everywhere. He leapt left right and went up and down as he continued to romp through the cold white substance. He laughed as the two wolves jumped to and fro with delight. As Ookami flung snow at him he stood still as he let it hit his face and the brute chuckled. It was only a few moments until he had lost sight of her and his beloved had suddenly came out of the snow and attacked him by surprise as he was pelted with more snow. Above there was an eagle's cry as Cyril laughed at what was going on below. The bird himself joined in as he swooped down lowpicking up snow in his talons and dropping it down upon THane aiding Ookami with her attack.

"Just admit we're the better team Master." the bird said with a smileupon his beak.

"Why should I when you already know it and I agree to that as well, oh what would I do without you two."

I got you she said as she came out and he fell backwards into the snow. He chuckled as she licked his muzzle and then rolled over on top of her and pinned her down in the snow.

"And I got you."he said with a charming smile, aqua blue eyes staring into green.

The three were playing in the snow like they were infants once more. It made Ookami feel like she had a family once more, and she loved it. Her green eyes watched at Cyril drop a huge pile of snow upon Thane, That nearly made Ookami fall over with laughter. It was quite funny in her eyes. Still laughing quite hard Ookami soon found her self pinned in the snow belly up, Her green eyes were gazing in to Thane's Blue ones. Ookami laughed even more, She could not get her words out correctly because she was laughing so much. "T...T..Thane.. This..is fun." She said as she licked his muzzle. She was enjoying this very much, looking up at Thane she pushed him off of her so she could stand up. Her fur was covered in snow and it looked like her fur was black with white spots everywhere.

Smiling at Thane she walked around him and rubbed her tail across his back. She was smiling some more now. "You know what i like the most about this day. I like the most about it is because i can do this." She said as she took thane's legs out fro under him. She was laughing even harder now. It was quite funny as to how he fell.

Thane chuckled as Ookami laughed; it seemed as if they were almost having so much fun it was criminal. The brute shook out his fur as Ookami came out from under his hold. Just as most of the snow had been detached from his fur Ookami laughed as she told him something. The femme told him she was happy she could do something and he did not hear the rest if there was any because his legs were swept from beneath him. Thane fell in the snow with a thud as he laughed while Ookami did so herself. The brute picked himself up and smiled before he kicked up some snow towards her.

"Yes yes very funny"he said with a smile in between laughs

Thane then shookout his coat again and smiled at Ookami. Only then did Cyril swoop back around and dropped snow back on the brute. Thane stood there with a bit of snow on his muzzle as his aqua blue gaze settled on the bird.

"Good thing I'm not hungry..."Thane said[/B]

"Master THane as we have gone over before I have taken down foxes and wolves before, I am quite capable of doing it again."

The brute didn't wait any longer until he chased after the bird as it flew close to the ground. He ran faster and faster with the bird gliding alongside him. The fun only stopped when THane tumbled in the snow and lay there, resting for a bit as he looked around him.

The scene that was unfolding before her eyes made her fall over laughing. Her tail swayed with such force that the powdery white snow flew up into the air and soon fell gently down upon the two. She looked at Thane just to get a face full of snow, she begun to laugh even more. Her black fur looked white now due to all the snow that had accumulated on her. Standing up she shook off the loose snow, and headed towards Thane. She lowered her head and nuzzled Thane, She raised her head up into the sky, her eyes scanned the clear sky. She sat down upon her haunches and continued to look up at the sky. She enjoys doing this just sitting and watching the sky, and the stars when it is night time.

She begun to think about her deceased family,She dose miss them a lot but she needs to let the past be in the past. There was a bright future waiting for her and she is going to embrace that with an open mind.She lowered her head and looked at the snow that is resting under her paws, This brought back memories from that day, she was not sure if it was her fault even to this day.In her mind she knew that she could not prevent the incident from happening but if she was there they probably could have taken the bear down. She was unaware of the events that had taken place a few years back and if her presance would have saved them or would have gotten her self killed as well. She shook her fur and stood up, she had went from happy to out of it with in a few seconds. Turnning around she walked over to Thane and licked his muzzle. "Our pasts might have not been the best, but we can make a better future for one another." she said as she rested her head against his head and closed her eyes. " We will make a better future for out off spring then the one we lived."

The brute smiled as he enjoyed to see Ookami happy, it was what made him happy. If she was happy then he was happy and if she was sad then he was sad. But he would have to even be there for her as she was with him. Thane nuzzled Ookami back as she did so and then looked up to the sky. The brute liked to watch the stars as well, perhaps his family was up their, as well as Ookami's, if she believed in that as well.

Twas only when the femme seemed to think she looked a bit sad. They had both lost their families and she was the only family he had now. He wouldn't let anything hurt her but then this world is so extravagant with devilish things and evil and so many that could harm one wolf that it was almost impossible. But by the stars he would throw his own life down for his beloved and he knew it.

As she spoke he listened and nodded, they would make the most of the future that lie ahead of them together. As she liked his muzzle he touched his nose to hers and gave a soft smile.

"I'm not going anywhere and we're in this together; lets certainly make the most of it until our sould depart from this land."

Looking in to his eyes Ookami could see a spark of happiness residing in his eyes. She smiled lightly at Thane, lowering her head she rested it upon his chest as she listened to him talk about how they will make a better future until they depart from this world. Ookami closed her eyes and small tears filled her face as the thought of she had a family again filled her head. It makes her thrilled and scared at the same time, She was terrified of loosing the ones that she loves so dearly. Ookami was not sure as to how she would be mentally if she lost another loved one in a violent manor.

Her head was still pressed up against his chest, her tail was swaying a little bit as she stood there. She could feel each breath that Thane took and it was soothing. This moment to her was the awaking that she needed to recover from the violent loss of her parents and siblings. Still not looking up at Thane or even moving her head from him she spoke softly."Yes Thane, we are in this together till the very end." She paused a little bit and looked up at him.

A smile filled her face as she gazed upon his face, this was who she was meant to be with and she knew it in the deepest part of her soul. This was her second chance as to have a family, and Ookami was determined not to let anything happen to her new family.

Suddenly all of the thoughts of the past in his mind ceased as he looked at Ookami. This was the new beginning or the beginning of a new beginning. At this moment he knew he would have to let them go even though tth ehtoughts would still plague his mind.

Let us go..., a ghastly voice said

Thane closed his aqua blue eyes for a moment and listened to the inside voices of his mind that had haunted him for ever so long.

It was time to let her go and them go. Images of all of his deceased packmates flashed before his eyes as they were followed up by Amber then his oparents then ended on his sister Hureia. He had a new wolf to live for and she was right here. This was a living breathing wolf and he knew it. No more death and slaughter upon those he loved. ALl he wanted was peace and harmony in a divided world.

Thane smiled at Ookami as she said that they were in this until the very end.

"Thats good, because you would have trouble getting rid of me." he said with a small chuckle


Second chances do exist and these two would make the most of it.

Her head rested upon Thane she still had her eyes closed as she listened to him talk. Those words made her grin with pride and joy, She knew that this was indeed a new beginning and nothing will take that from her. She wanted to get to know him abit more before they try for puppies and that would be along time before she would come into season so they still had some time to get to know one another some more. Raising her head she looked at thane, her eyes sparkled from the mixture of the sun's light and her own bright green eyes.

Her tail swayed sightly as she glanced at Thane."I am glad that i have meet you and even though i miss my siblings and parents, i now have a new family, They will remain in my thoughts, but i have a new family to focus on."Ookami said as she licked his muzzle and begun to walk through the snow. She did not bother to pick up her feet to try to lift it over the deep snow. She pulled her legs through the snow the cold felt good on her legs and it seemed to sooth her for some reason. This made her smile even more .

Thane nodded as she told him that she was glad she had met him and that she had a new family now to focus on. The brute smiled as he nuzzle her before he started to walk as well. She did notlift up her feet but he did, it was just instinct for him. It was funny how on that snowy starry night the two wolves had just thought of each other as just friends andnothing more.To look back to that and look back up ahead to now there would be a difference. It wasn't a bad one but a good one. He walked beside Ookami as they troughed through the snow. Cyril flew ahead above them and they were on their way to land. This was a great day because they ad made it one, if they kept this up there would be plenty more great days to enjoy ahead. Of course they both had to getto know each other more but there would be time and right now it seemed as if they had all the time in the world.

SNow gently began to fall as it fell ever so slightly. It was almost a mist of snow but the tiny snowflakes wouldn't last long. Each one fell one by one. Somemelted as soon as they hit the brute's coat but all but two. They were the ones who had survived; and now they needed each other to stay alive as well, together.
