Nothing. The monochromatic male gazed around, all traces of what used to be here gone...and for a long time too. Tortuga had once been here, but that was several years ago. He was foolish to think that Taurig had come back after what had happened. Icy gaze swept the base of the mountain as he slowly moved on, the autumn season coming to a close and the approaching winter seasoning the air around him. Tortuga was where it had all started, where his life had fallen in place before being ripped from beneath his feet like a poor magicians table cloth trick. He was foolish...so very foolish.

The aging male had been walking for so long now, a vain attempt to escape the past that was constantly plagued by everything being ripped away from him. His family. His sister. His mate. His child. Each fleeting thought was worse then the last, causing him to snarl at the air as his chest felt like a great weight was pressing against him, choking, heavy. He had changed so much throughout the years...lost himself with each loss he suffered. He had no one. He was alone. No pack. No place to call home. Silently he pressed on, intent on continuing his journey, whatever it was.

So his pack had been lost, falling in a battle that he was not part of. Perhaps for the better it seemed, considering two of their members were claimed for the other side. Not to mention Enigma's rather... unfortunate wound. Did Forsaken feel guilty? Yes. They were his family and he had let them down. But the young man had been more worried about stalking after Squirrel and the kids, securing their retreat, then participating in the battle. It was only once the others had cross into Donostrean territory that he left them, and by the time he got home the battle was over. There was blood everywhere... and... a shattered, lost hope.

Forsaken felt bitter, angry about what had happened. The son of the white devil moved across the lands with little purpose however. Just because he was sore didn't mean he had to go and attack every random stranger he saw, now did it? But did that mean he was in a good mood? No, far from it.

Paws lead him on, his expression one of brooding. He would cross into mountain territory, until finally up ahead he saw a man. A shadow of a man, old yet seemingly still strong. Forsaken would approach the man with a sharp look in his golden eyes, his words coming out smooth and almost soft. "Say old timer, what's on the agenda?" The man didn't smell of a pack. Was he unfortunate too? Or was there another reason perhaps?

The tailwind would bring an unfamiliar scent of youth to the much older male. Icy gaze switched from the view of the mountainside to the owner of the voice, ears flattening as the kid called him old timer. He knew he was getting on in years, but this kid didn't have to rub it in. Lips lifted to bare his teeth ever so slightly, hackles lifted a little as well as his tail curled over his back. "I could make putting kids in their place part of my agenda." He growled as he turned to face the younger male.

Even though the boy was a half foot taller then him, Hansel was quite sure he could put him in the dirt. He kept his dominant and defensive stance, though his eyes would betray nothing more then irritability at the moment. Did kids have no sense of respect anymore? Especially towards those who could out skill them? He supposed if it came down to it, he'd find out. But he was in no mood to be disrespected by a kid.

Forsaken would blow the threat off, letting out a laugh. “Easy old man. I’m not looking for a fight. I’m merely asking a question. No need to get so snippy.” Forsaken would cock his head to the side, wearing a smirk. He would dig his nails into the dirt, stretching his body out like a cat might. He’d then draw closer to the old man, his golden gaze sharp as he dared him to make a move.

“You sure are miserable, aren’t you? A pity. We could potentially have some fun together, you and I.” The brute would flick his tail back and forth, interest in his eyes. “Who knows old one, perhaps I can make you feel young again!” He’d show his teeth in a wicked grin.
