It was just before noon when the boy shifted, breathing slow as he waited. God how waiting was so...boring. But the longer time passed, the more he convinced himself that mom would be out a little while longer doing adult things. The brown fluff ball wiggled his hindquarters, quietly creeping towards his siblings. Gnar was curled up at the edge of the group, she had been sick for a while...so momma had him and the others sleeping on the other side of the large den. So now his sights were set on the trio that he assumed were still sleeping. Wiggling his hindquarters, he leaped onto them as if they were a pile of leaves. "Wake up guys! Mommy's gone!"

He giggled and laughed as he wriggled free and dashed to the outside world. The sun was bright as it shone over the lands, but the air was cold and he shivered when the cold air rushed at him. He fluffed up his fur, tail wagging madly as he looked at all the trees. They seemed pretty bare, no fruit or many leaves with the season of winter. But it wouldn't deter him. Turning to look and see if his siblings had gotten up, he yipped at them. "Come on guys look at this!"

Believe it or not but the little hellion was actually asleep.

If there was one thing that Kharnage liked more than playing with his siblings it was sleep. With them being under the careful watch of their Mother when she was around it wasn't like he could get away with too much. Yet. So he slumbered on well into the morning and almost towards noon. He didn't hear his brother stirring. The boy was in a jumbled heap with his back to the ground and paws in the air as he snored. Occasionally he'd twitch as he dreamed but his sleep didn't last long.

A paw in his gut caused his eyelids to snap open and a soft oomf escaped past his lips followed with a very immature growl. Feeling rather irritated that he'd been woken up so rudely he squirmed until he was on his stomach and turned his head to look at Dragon. At first he had planned on attacking his sibling but his attention was quickly diverted as he heard Dragon say their mother was gone. He tried his best to flick his ears forward and his tail thumped as his mind whirled at all the mischief they could get into. The possibilities were endless!

Grinning ear to ear he tumbled after Dragon all the way to the mouth of the cave and a few steps into the outside world before he stopped suddenly with a shiver running down the length of his spine. His siblings were momentarily forgotten as he stared wide eyed at the trees. It was cold outside, much colder than the temperature of the den, and the white stuff they were standing in was already freezing his toes. He shifted on his paws and decided to sniff at the snow. Of course that was a bad idea. A sneeze racked his body as he inhaled the frozen fluff. Deciding he wasn't going to do that again the then bounded closer to Dragon.

"What are we gonna do first?!"

ooc: I'm assuming there's snow judging from one of Valentine's posts. Can change it though if this is a problem!

A pounce was what woke her. Simurgh would crack open her eyes with a loud “oof” and glance about. Hnn? What was going on? A lazy yawn would escape the child as she heard Dragon’s banter. Oh whatever, so mom was gone. Big deal! She went out to do adult stuff before and she always came back. Simmy would close her eyes again, trying to drift back off to sleep despite the cry of her brother. She might have succeeded too, had Kharnage not woken up too!

Simurgh would let out a groan, giving up as she rose to her paws. She’d glance at her two brothers, head tilting to the side as she watched them. She would start towards the mouth of the den, stopping once she saw the outside world. Beauty. That was one way to describe what she saw. Simmy would breathe out, her amber eyes wide with wonder. “Wooooahhh.”

RHYS IMPERIALIS

Rhys lay on her belly in the snow. Between her and the huddle of puppies was a tree. She'd waited days to meet the new guys. Days. It may as well have been an eternity. The day her daddy and everybody came back with puppies in tow she'd begged to play with the little ones they carried but she'd been told to give them time to settle in and not bother them. Well, now they'd had time to settle in so it was time to play.

She peeked around the tree as an explosive sneeze sounded from the puppy huddle. Their mom had left a little while ago - something Rhys had been hoping and waiting for since she didn't want to get tattled on. The last thing she wanted was for her dad to find out she'd disobeyed. Even if it didn't hurt any she didn't like being in trouble.

Clearly their mom was going to be gone awhile so now was the time to act. Rhys slithered around the tree and then got to her paws and trotted towards the trio. The girl knew no stranger; everyone was a friend until proven otherwise so she felt no trepidation over approaching the group. They were, in Rhys' mind, just playmates she'd never met before."Hi!" she chirped, "Do you guys like to play? I'm Rhys and I know lots of games."

SERAPHIM IMPERIALIS

Phim had learned his lesson with Rhys: Keep an eye on her. She is always up to something. He was returning from yet another border patrol when he picked up the scent of his young sister. A phantom ache lanced through his hindquarters in memory of their first official meeting, and he winced. He knew he ought to go check in, partially because he wanted to stop in and say hello and partially because, well... He doubted she was anywhere she was supposed to be.

When he found her lurking behind a tree near the den of the newest arrivals he stifled a noise caught somewhere between a chuckle and a sigh. Sooner or later his father would learn better, pups were nothing but trouble. He watched for a moment, hoping she was maybe just stopping by for a peek before continuing on her way, but of course he would not be so lucky. Once his sister bounded forward to meet the three other pups, Phim took a deep breath and turned his snout skyward. Valentine hadn't raised him to be gods-fearing, but if there was ever a time to ask for protection and guidance it was now. His long limbs carried him easily into the open and despite his misgivings he couldn't quite keep the smile off of his face. "And I'm her brother, Seraphim." He hoped to catch Rhys' eye, raising a brow in her general direction. He wasn't the type to give a lecture, but to say he trusted the young girl's judgement would be far from the truth. "Can I play too?" If he was lucky, maybe he'd be able to keep Rhys from getting them all killed, or at least keep Vana or Rhythm from killed them all later on if they ever found out.
