Peaceful Sins

Lillianna was... tired. She wasn't quite sure why, but she didn't want to do much of anything. However, staying at her den was... unappealing. It was an odd mix, this desire to do nothing yet inability to do nothing and she wasn't quite fond of it at all. So she made her way to the Firefly Lake... not that it had much fireflies, anymore. Luckily, though, it was still unfrozen; soon, it would probably freeze. The edges were freezing on a daily basis and staying frozen, anyways. Whether it'd progress more or not was an interesting question.
It was now more than anything that the girl was thankful for her thick coat. However... Farrym. He was so vulnerable, used to the warm weather of the desert where she found him as a kitten. He wasn't doing so well, but she was hesitant to leave him at the den, so he burrowed in her back and neck fur. Already she could feel him shivering, and she would whine softly at him, so he'd tumble down into her paws and she'd sprawl out in the snow, after digging out a small, shallow hollow. She'd pick up Farrym in her jaws and set him on her paws, curling her head around the small body. Yep, she could stay there for a time - Farrym would warm up.

Note: Lillie has scars over her right eye and down her cheek. She also has scars under her chin and on her jaw. Her tables and art will most likely not reflect this. Unless it is specified otherwise, assume Lillianna is accompanied by her companion.

Although he was quietly appreciative of the beauty in these southern lands, Mikkal was truly beginning to miss the north. He was... homesick. He had not imagined how much it would effect him, being away from his family for the first time and in such an unfamiliar place. He had been hanging around these region because it was where he had found family, but he found himself yearning for the north even more than he was familiar company.
Stepping up to the lakeside for a chilly drink, his eyes caught sight of a girl his age curled up alone, and he lifted his head slowly. No, not alone, there was something curled up in her paws. A pup - no, a kitten of some sort. It didn't look much different than the felines he was used to, lynxes and the like, but then again kittens had always been difficult for him to tell apart. They weren't wolves or reindeer, and that was all that had mattered before. But this one appeared to be shivering. Both kitten and wolf seemed distressed, though to tell the truth that may have been Mikkal projecting his own loneliness upon them, and Mikkal could not help but extend some sort of assistance to them. He trotted over, his head and tail and expression held as nonthreatening as the earnest young male could manage. "Hei? Oletko kunnossa?"

Ears would prick as she heard a voice - so focused on nuzzling Farrym to warm him up a bit before she let him run, she had been completely oblvious of the male's approach. Fur on her spine rose briefly as she turned her head to him; upon seeing him, it flattened, and her head tilted at his words. She did not... understand them at all. And they sounded nothing like how the other two languages - Italian and Spanish - sounded.
Farrym would wiggle in Lillianna's paws; standing on his hind paws and sitting back in the snow; it was utterly peculiar - and fascinating to Lillianna - how he did that. "H-hei!" he chirped at Mikkal, attempting to imitate the language. Lillianna stood as Farrym did, blinking at the stranger. "Hello," she would answer softly, in her own language - hoping he understood. "I can't understand you," she replied. She was curious about this stranger, this stranger whom Farrym liked immediately, this language, this culture. It sounded so interesting, and unique... and she surprisingly appreciated the company.
