Harmony meandered slowly through the pack's lands. It had not snowed for several days now, and the once-pristine white was criss-crossed with tracks of both wolf and prey, the snow churned into muddy slush on the trails most often used. A snow-colored rabbit froze as he spotted her, and Harmony eyed it with amusement. If only he knew that he needn't have bothered - she had little energy to hunt with the ache in her bones these days. But the mild exercise was doing her good while she waited for the herbs to kick in, anyway. Too bad the water was so frigid, she could fish instead. She'd noticed the oils in the fish seemed to have a positive effect on her... problems. Cold as it was the river here was not completely frozen over due to the rapids, and trying to walk out onto the thin ice near the open water would be suicide. Maybe she'd take a trip down to the more slow-moving river near Imperium territory and give it a try there sometime this winter. She could always check in with Rhythm and her kids on the way. For now though...
The rabbit finally bolted as she wandered past him, and she watched wistfully as he bounded over the snow with far more grace than she would ever manage again, until he disappeared from sight and her slim white paws carried her once more along her lonely path.
