It had been quite some time since the titan had seen the other one...the one who had nearly been driven to madness with fear at the sight of him. He had left her since their last meeting, travelling away from the south to avoid running into her again. But since he encountered the woman, the mere thought of her kept pulling him back this way. Not because she was pretty, (for that was only part of the reason), but because he felt like he needed to apologize for the wrongdoings of his pack. He had been far different compared to the tyranny and wickedness of the dragon fangs, and he the pure hearted one who refused to fight for anything that was not just. No...he could not partake in the slaughter and torture of innocent souls. And the day he witnessed the true nature and brutality of his home, he had left. The images of slaughtered children and bleeding lives was enough to break his heart and send his soul into torment. The day he left, he had never looked back...and one day when he did return to talk down the old fool, they were gone. The pack had met its demise similar to the innocents they had slaughtered previously.

His muscles shuddered, snow flakes landing lightly on his pelt as he lumbered south to find the woman and give her a heartfelt apology. Even though he had nothing to do with the attack itself, it was still his own blood that had done it, and he felt as if he would never escape that shadow. The blood is on my paws, now. At least, he had convinced himself as much. Moving steadily towards the place he had first found her, the titan slowed his pace until eventually, he came to a stop. Brows knitted together in confusion, monochromatic eyes searching beyond the lines that depicted the existence of a pack...had she...had she been run out? A coldness gripped his heart. She had children didn't she? Had they been harmed? Where was she? Last he knew, this place was where they all lived...her scent still lied around, but he couldn't tell if these borders merely overlapped with her scent, or if she still lingered beyond as a...captive...

Stupid. He growled to himself. He was overreacting, was he not? Sighing to himself, the beast watched carefully as he stood among the snow laden foliage of the plants. No longer as vibrant as they were the season he'd been here last, so it was harder to hide his pelt and blend in with the scenery. He was sure that his unique coloring stuck out like a fish out of water, but who was he to complain. He was a giant, he didn't fear anyone...only worried that others would fear him. Tentatively, he would take a step forward but no more. He was unsure as to whether he should call...or turn back. This is a bad idea...I shouldn't be here. Her last reactions to him, the fear, the ever watchful eye...made him think that perhaps, it would be best to turn away now.

Her demons had been quiet lately. No longer were they so often plaguing her mind, but rather they were that quiet hum in the back of her head. Marina knew they were still there, oh yes, she was certain of that. But the rainbow woman wasn’t about to be overcome by them. She wouldn’t allow them to take what remained of her sanity and shred it. No, she needed to be strong. There were wolves worth fighting for. Regardless if she relapsed, if they got louder within her head for a period of time, she was certain that she’d always be able to overcome them in the end.

The days lately had been spent patrolling her borders. She worried for the other packs of Alacritia... Their existence. It was almost as Borealis had been sitting with a big ol’ target upon it, waiting for whomever dared to come along and take a crack at it. Marina didn’t like it... But she knew she was partially to blame. That, as well as the season of winter, were not helping her pack. Come spring she would need to pick up activity within her pack. Whether it be through training, patrols, or even a party... Just something! Borealis couldn’t just sit here like some bump on a log.

It was as she patrolled Borealis’ borders, within her thoughts, that she noticed his scent. It flowed to her on the breeze, and Marina couldn’t help but let out a soft chuckle. Their first meeting had hardly been one of simple pleasantries. Her demons back then had been screeching so loudly... She had been sure he was merely there to cause her family harm. Yet, true to his word, he had not. He had caused no trouble at all for her family... And for that he had earned Marina’s trust.

Perhaps a little too quickly, but the woman could respect the man for that. Perhaps that was why she quickened her pace the moment she noticed his scent. Before long her bicolored eyes of red and pink would fall upon his larger form. He was massive, but not in a way that intimidated her any longer. She felt almost as though she was going to greet an old friend, by how she approached him.

“Welcome to Borealis, Arvandor.” The femme would say softly. “You look a bit uncertain. Contemplating if you really wish to join a pack?” Her voice was light, teasing. Would he be part of Borealis by the end of this meeting?

He caught her scent on the winds, and for a moment he felt uneasy and unsure. Odd for someone his size, but he was more worried that he would be shunned and told to hit the road considering their last couple encounters had a rocky start. As the rainbow hued femme approached, however, ears perked as she welcomed him to...Borealis? Her words would catch him off guard for a moment, steel colored eyes looking her over for a moment before finally clearing his throat. "I...you're okay." Smooth...real smooth. With an embarrassed and nervous cough, he would recompose himself after his obvious confusion. So it appears she wasn't in trouble, or hurt or anything. She was in a pack now...that was surprising. Not too long ago he'd met her as a rogue, and yet here she was...

He shifted slightly, pulling up a smile as his tail wagged. "Yoo're in a pack eh? Och, Ah didne ken 'at! it's quite surprisin' pure! fur a moment Ah thooght ye an' yer wee ones were...Ah, ne'er min' 'at." The man smiled at her, feeling a little more at ease when he noticed she didn't seem to cower or bristle with his presence this time. She seemed...more relaxed. Oddly enough, he liked seeing her like this as opposed to frightened. But he was curious now, about this...pack. But first, he would inquire about her before anything else. "How are ye, Marina?"

"Listen to me talk," 'and know my thoughts.'
